of the cuffs were edged in
dainntr lace. To complete her
tnrsemhle the bride chose a
band headpiece with two-
tiered veil edged with rose
trim. She wore a pearl drop
necklace and carried a
cascade of rust French roses
and talisman baby's breath.
Miss Shirley Thornton of
'Wingham was her sister's
maid of honor. She wore a
floor -length blue gown styled
with shoestring straps and V
neckline, topped with a sheer
polyester jacket. She carried
a nosegay of rust French
roses, rust primroses, light
blue primroses and talisman
baby's breath.
Miss Jennifer Hutchison of
RR 2, Gorrie; niece of the
bride, was the flowergirl.
She wore a blue gown with
smocked empire . waistline
and gathered floor -length
skirt. The white collar and
sleeves were trimmed with,"
lace. She wore a silver
bracelet, a gift from the
bride, and carried a nosegay
of rust primroses, light blue
primroses and talisman
baby's breath.
Tom Koor of Toronto, a
friend of the groom, was best
man. The guests were
ushered by Don Thornton,
RR 1, Gorrie, brother of the
bride, and Glenn Whitehead
of Wingham.
The bride's mother wore a
tailored ultra -suede'
burgundy and cream dress
accented by a matching
burgundy vest. She chose a
corsage of ivory primroses
and pink roses. The groom's
mother chose a - brown
polyester and nylon en-
1 semble with a corsage of
periwinkle primroses,
baby's breath and
eucalyptus.
Following the ceremony a
reception was held at the
Wingham Golf and Curling
Club. Guests attended from
Brantford, Toronto, Calgary,
London and surrounding
areas.

For travellingto the
Georgian Bay area, the bride
wore a two-piece burgundy
dress with a white gardenia
corsage.
, The bride was honored at
showers hosted by Mrs.
Loreen ''Stokes; Belmore;
Mrs. Phyllis Calder,
Brantford; "and Mrs. Cheryl
Ladner, Wingham.

The Thesday, Wednesday„
and Thursday groups at the
Wingham and Area Day
Centre for the Homebound
this week had the . oppor-
tunity to attend a foot clinic
at the Wingham. Armouries.
The clients would like to
thank Janet Reid, public
health nurse, for continuing
this needed service to the
senior population. The next
clinic will be held on January
7, ab1:30 p.m.
We are working on the
December cheer -ups for the
hospital trays. The project
chosen is a candle made
from construction and crepe
paper,, cotton swabs and pipe
cleaners. If you can't picture
what they look like, that's a
good reason to come into the
centre and see what we're
doing:
Every second month the
seniors ~at, thea ;cetftte . are
responsible for the tray
favors.
Our mobile' greenhouse is
complete and thenext step is
to have it transported from
Lucknow to the centre. We
will need plant slips, pots.,
etc., so if you have any form
of plant life to helpus get the
greenhouse going, we would
appreciate your help. Many
of our seniors have green

changed marriage vows on
Saturday, November 1, at
three o'clock in a ceremony
solemnized in St. Mary's
Roman Catholic Church,
Hesson.
The bride is the grand-
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art
Stone of Wingham. The
groom' is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Manuel Drumond,
Listowel.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Barb Weod, Ethel, and
bridesmaids were Bonnie
M thews and Brenda
Ma thews, both of Wingham,
and the groom's sister,
Jacinta Drumond, Listowel.
The groom was attended
by his uncle, Luis Drumond
of Toronto, and guests were
ushered by the groom's
brother, Luis D , and of
Listowel, Joe inhero of
Listowel and D nny Vernon,
Brussels.
Following the ceremony, a
reception was held at the
.Blue Barn, Listowel.

Presbyterian Church, Wing -

meeting in the- . Fellowship
Hall on Nov. 4. Mrs. William
Lapp opened -the meeting
with a verse of scripture, and
a hyoid was ` sung.
Mrs. Lapp read the'
scripture and gave the •
meditation. Olive Lapp sang
a solo, and - she, was ac-
companied by Mrs. William
Ford on the piano. Mrs. D. A. .
Ritchie led in prayer and
another hymn was sung.
Mrs. Ritchie gave a paper on
'The Color of Memory'.
•Mrs. Lapp introduced the
guest, speaker, Mrs. Ross
Conniings. gm spoke en
remembrance. Mrs. Ritchie
thanked the speaker and
presented her'withft-gift.
The offering was received
by Mrs. 11. Aitchison, and the
dedication was by Mrs. R.
Hastings.
The president, Mrs.' G.
Wall, took charge of the
business part of the meeting.
The secretary, Mrs. R.
McKay, , read the minutes,
correspondence and roll call,
and Mrs. Aitchison gave the
treasurer's report.
The meting closed with a
hymn and a prayer by. Vera
McLaughlin. Mrs. J. Conn
assisted at the piano. A
