many years, Cecil Dickson
McFadden, passed away
Sunday, October 5, in Vic-
toria Hospital, London, in his
80th year. A popular par-
ticipant in community ac-
tivities, he was also an active
member of the Brussels
United Church where -he was
clerk of session and sang in
the choir.
Mr. McFadden : was
predeceased `by his wife, the
former Hazel Oakes, in 1973.
He is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. M. D.
(Loreen) Irvine,' Guelph;
one son`, Ross of
Mississauga; seven gran-
dchildren and one great
grandchild. There was, at
the time of his death, one.
brother, Russell of Port
Elgin, who passed away the
evening of his brother's
funeral. He was predeceased
by one sister, Mrs. Lorne

Gustav (Gus) Eder passed
away suddenly in Listowel
Memorial Hospital on
Saturday, October 11. ,
Mr. Eder and his wife, the.
former Noreen Rutledge,
operated Eder's Variety
Store on the main street of
the village for many years.
He was also associated with
East Huron Produce Ltd. His
wife survives ,to mourn his
passing. ' He was
predeceased by his parents
'and one sister in Germany'
The late Gus Eder rested
at the Brussels Chapel of M.
L. Watts Funeral Homes
where service was . con-
ducted Monday at two
O'clock by Rev. Ken Innes.
interment followed in
Brussels Cemetery.
