1 public works, said the works
department could use the car
which is being replaced
instead of trading it in, but
Mr. Kerr said the depart-
ment needs a truck, not •a
car, to carry around things
such as barricades and signs
which now must be hattled•in
a dump truck. No decision
was reached on the matter.
• There will be a one -day
free garden refuse collection
by the town this fall.
Council followed a
suggestion by Reeve Kerr to
return to the practice, which
had been abandoned when
Michael Chappell was works
commissioner.
Mr. Kerr pointed out there
are some people who really
have no way of getting lawn
and garden refuse . to the
dump themselves, and some
,types of things are diffieult
to bag or bundle for the
normal garbage pick-up.
The pick-up will be Oct. 23;
resillenth are asked to have
their rubbish at the curb not
more than one or two days in

The ontario Council of
Health is asking the public
and interested groups to
regarding denture service
provided by dentists and
denture therapists in the
Province of Ontario. Argu-
ments between dentists and
denture therapists regarding
service have been going on
for some years in the
Denture therapists such as
Heinz Baumgarten whose
clinic is located between
Fordwich and Clifford, feel
the therapists have a strong
case.
, ,"As denture therapists we
fee) we have demonstrated
eompetence since the
establishment of our
profession in 1974, saving the
Ontario public literally
Millions of dollars," Mr.
Baumgarten says.
•
At present legislation
allows denture therapists to
provide full dentures but
stipulates partial dentures
must be fabricated.under the
supervision of a dentist in his
bespi te the legislation,
according to ,Mr. Baum-
garten, denture therapists
have been and are continu-
ing to provide partial den-
tures to the public.
"We feel this legislation is-
uhjust and unworkable and
that we are quite capable of
constructing partials in the
same skillful manner as full
dentures," Mr. Baumgarten
"Since denture therapists
construct the dentures, they
are able to provide them at a
tnuch lower cost, allowing°
more people ,to afford these^
services, especially those of
limited income who would
otherwise forego proper
restorative denture care."
Anyone wishing to submit
a letter or brief to the
Ontario Council of Health
regarding denture service
