tember 9. He was in his 7..,t
year.
Mr. Sanderson was born at
Wroxeter on March 27, 1910.
He went west in -1928 to the
Kingsland area and worked
on a .-farm there. Later he
moved to the Idaleen district
where he worked on a farm
for seven years. In 1940, he
set up - fanning in that
district and in 1941, • he
married the former Leila
Helen Hislop. Since 1950 they
have spent the winter
months in Rosetown.
Mr. Sanderson was a
member of the IOOF Lodge,
a past member of the
Rosetown Recreation Board,
a councillor of the R.M. of St.
Andrew's from 1947 to 1974
and , Deputy Reeve for five
years. He had a great in-
terest in cattle and will be
missed in many auction
rings in Alberta and
Saskatchewan.
Besides his wife Leila, he
is survived by three sons,
Donald, Everett and Ross,
all of Rosetown, and seven
grandchildren. He was
predeceased by three
brothers.
Funeral service was held
September. 12 in the
Rosetown United Church
with interment following in
Rosetown Cemetery.
Members of the Oddfellows
Lodge formed a guard .of
honor outside the chur9l and
at the graveside.

for Clement' John (Clem)
Steffler of Brussels who
passed away at Victoria
Hospital . on September 21
following a lengthy illness.
Rev. W. Gutowski officiated
at the mass• with interment
following in Brussels Roman
Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were five
grandsons, Tim, Tom and
Ted Doherty, Laverne and
Mark Steffler, and one
nephew, Clare Steffler.
Floral tributes were carried
by Ray,"Torn, Peter and Joe
Hallahan, John, Mary -Jo
' and Patti -Jo Steffler.
Mr. Steffler was born at
Formosa 80 years ago, a son
of the late Louis Steffler and
Elizabeth Lambertus. He
received his elementary
education at Ambleside
School, Carrick Township.
On October 26, 1936, he
married the former Annie
Hallahan of Blyth and they
farmed near Cranbrook in
Grey , Township until , 1966
when they retired to the
village of Cranbrook.
He was an active member
of St. Ambrose Roman
Catholic Church and for
many years served as
director and president on the
Brussels Agricultural Fair
Board.
Left to mourn his .passing
are' his wife; one daughter,
Mrs. John (Anne) Doherty of
Goderich; three Sons, 'Clem
of Fairview, Alberta, Jim of
Winghami and Joe, Walton;
and 12 grandchildren. He is
also survived by one sister,
Mrs. Lloyd ( Amelia) May of
Kitchener, and one brother,
Niel of Ambleside. He was
predeceased by one son,
Louis, in 1948

married the former Leila
Helen Hislop. Since 1950 they
have spent the winter
months in Rosetown.
Mr. Sanderson was a
member of the IOOF Lodge,
a past member of the
Rosetown Recreation Board,
a councillor of the R.M. of St.
Andrew's from 1947 to 1974
and , Deputy Reeve for five
years. He had a great in-
terest in cattle and will be
missed in many auction
rings in Alberta and
Saskatchewan.
Besides his wife Leila, he
is survived by three sons,
Donald, Everett and Ross,
all of Rosetown, and seven
grandchildren. He was
predeceased by three
brothers.
Funeral service was held
September. 12 in the
Rosetown United Church
with interment following in
Rosetown Cemetery.
Members of the Oddfellows
Lodge formed a guard .of
honor outside the chur9l and
at the graveside.

for Clement' John (Clem)
Steffler of Brussels who
passed away at Victoria
Hospital . on September 21
following a lengthy illness.
Rev. W. Gutowski officiated
at the mass• with interment
following in Brussels Roman
Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were five
grandsons, Tim, Tom and
Ted Doherty, Laverne and
Mark Steffler, and one
nephew, Clare Steffler.
Floral tributes were carried
by Ray,"Torn, Peter and Joe
Hallahan, John, Mary -Jo
' and Patti -Jo Steffler.
Mr. Steffler was born at
Formosa 80 years ago, a son
of the late Louis Steffler and
Elizabeth Lambertus. He
received his elementary
education at Ambleside
School, Carrick Township.
On October 26, 1936, he
married the former Annie
Hallahan of Blyth and they
farmed near Cranbrook in
Grey , Township until , 1966
when they retired to the
village of Cranbrook.
He was an active member
of St. Ambrose Roman
Catholic Church and for
many years served as
director and president on the
Brussels Agricultural Fair
Board.
Left to mourn his .passing
are' his wife; one daughter,
Mrs. John (Anne) Doherty of
Goderich; three Sons, 'Clem
of Fairview, Alberta, Jim of
Winghami and Joe, Walton;
and 12 grandchildren. He is
also survived by one sister,
Mrs. Lloyd ( Amelia) May of
Kitchener, and one brother,
Niel of Ambleside. He was
predeceased by one son,
Louis, in 1948
