Wingham scored the whining
run in the ninth inning of the
close, exciting game.
The third match, if -
necessary, will be played in
Wingham on a yet to be
decided date.
The winner of this series
will advance to C"amalachie
Sept. 20-21 for a double
knockout tournament, which
will feature the six Ontario
zone winners. One team will
emerge as the OASA Inter-
mediate 'C' A11 -Ontario

The Wingham Bantam
girls ball team downed
Brussels in three straight
games to win the tri -county.
championship last week.
The girls had won six
games, lost three and tied
one to finish the regular
season in first place. They
then went on to win all their
playoff series.
Wingham took two of three
games against Wroxeter in
the quarter - finals and
downed Belmore in two
straight games, 14-13 and 30-
18, i semi final play.
e best -of -five final.
series against Brussels was
won by Wingham in the
minimum number of games,
19-18, 21-18 and 10-9.

in all the playoff games. Key

Ken Saxton hit a home run
in the bottom of the ninth
inning to give Wingahm a 2-1
lead in the Intercounty
Men's Slow Pitch series
against Atwood.
Wingham was behind 8-0
after six innings but
managed to finish the game
with a 12-11 win.
The next home game is
scheduled for Thursday at 9
p.m.
