The girls had won six games, lost three and tied one to finish the regular season in first place. They then went on to win all their playoff series. Wingham took two of three games against Wroxeter in the quarter - finals and downed Belmore in two straight games, 14-13 and 30- 18, i semi final play. e best -of -five final. series against Brussels was won by Wingham in the minimum number of games, 19-18, 21-18 and 10-9. Athletic 1E' Wingham leads Atwood 2-1 Ken Saxton hit a home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Wingahm a 2-1 lead in the Intercounty Men's Slow Pitch series against Atwood. Wingham was behind 8-0 after six innings but managed to finish the game with a 12-11 win.
