The annual Wingham Film
and—Nostalgia Festival
probably will continue, but
there will be some ,changes
in format in future years,
organizers report. -
Nelson Frank, who
together with John Schedler
has been putting on the
festival for the past four
years, said things went quite,
well this year, although they
were a little disappointed at'
a drop in attendance. He said
he isn't sure whether the hot
weather is to blame, or
cgmpetition from all the

other events going on.
He reported attendance of
about 125,:which is the usual
'hard core' of film and
nostalgia buffs, but at-

public was down from last

aiming to attract others."
He said they also are
looking at perhaps going to a
one -day rather than a two-
day festival.
Apart from those changes
they will stick pretty much to
the same format, he added.
Those, who come .seem to
enjoy the festival and there
--were no criticisms this year.
Mr. Frankadmitted he is a
little puzzled at the Jilted
response to the festival, one
of very few of its kind. For
instance about 1,000 people
showed up to see the regular
offerings at the Lyceum cver
the weekend, but only 125
paid the same price to see an
entire day of vintage films
and cartoons.
Maybe the interest in
nostalgia is being overrated,
he commented.
