Busby of 285 Miaate Street, Wingham. She was in her ' 09th year. The former Margaret Elikaheth Edwards, Mrs. Busby was born in Howick Township on August 6, 1911. Her parents were the late Alta and Mrs. William Ed- wards, She received her &Mesentery education at SS o.i, Howick. oni October 24, 1931, she married Mr. Busby in the Delmore United Church. He riredeteased her, as did one daughter, Nina Grieg, for- • saintly Of Toronto. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. William • (Velma) Cumming of RR 2, Guelph, Mrs. Ross (Wendy) P011and Mrs. Mike (Debbie) •Inglis, both of %gingham; two BOLLS, Jim of RR 2, Mildmay and Harry of Belmore; and 14 grandchildren. There are four brothers, Harry, Clare, • Lorne and Leslie Edwards. She was predeceased iv one sister, Mrs. Lily Miller, and three brothers, Irwin, Clayton and WIllIam., Mrs. Busby remained a Member of McIntosh United Church but after moving to Wingham some years ago, she became a member of the United Church Women, the Wingharn Senior Citizens, the Mary Hastings Club and the Second Mile Club. The late Mrs. Busby rested at The Currie -Walker Funeral Home, Wingham, where friends paid respects on Sunday evening. Removal was made Monday to McIntosh United Church where Rev. T. J. Rees of Mount Forest conducted funeral service at three o'clock. Interment followed in the adjoining McIntosh Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don and Doug Busby, Keith and Gary Cumming, Ross Poll and Mike Inglis. Flowers were carried to the graveside by Cheryl and Brian Busby and Lynne Cumming. JANE THOMPSON Jane Thompson, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Thompson, RR. ,1, Bel - grave, graduated July 12 from the Diploma Nurs- ing Program, Conestoga College, Guelph Campus. Following the graduation exercises at War. Mem- orial Hall, family and friends gathered for din- ner at the Amber Cupola, Guelph. Jane is a grad- uate of F. E. Madill Sec- ondary School, Wingham, and Brookside Public School, Ashfield Town- ship. The students, working from June 23 to Aug. 15, have been engaged in a variety of temporary jobs. To date the •..girls have pruned peach trees in Goderich, hayed for Wingham area farmers, • picked stones, cleared wood piles, seeded lawns, painted, • fenced and done garden work. • • Having farming • back- grounds, the girls explained they are acquainted with this type of labor, but working as an Agricrew allows them to travel to different farms and meet new friends. They also enjoy working outside and picking, up a few tips on farming techniques. Debbie, the crew foreman, explained the students can do just about any type of labor, except something that could be dangerous to them, such as operating chainsaws and working on a second storey. But other -than that, "You name it and we can do it," she said. Although crews spend most of their time on fartns, students are available to agricultural societies for preparation and clean-up of • Edgar descendants hold 32nd reunion BELGRAVE — Eighty de- cendants of the late Charles and Maria Edgar attended the 32nd reunion at Riverside Park on Sunday, July 13. The afternoon was spent with sports for the children conducted by Mr. and 'Mrs. Lewis Taylor of Hawkesville and Mr. and Mrs. Seim Ire- land of Teeswater while the older folks renewed old aquaintances and viewed several Old pictures. Results of sports: Pre- school race, Debbie Ireland; 5 - 8, Patricia! Deer and Rox- envie Ireland; a - 11, Dianne Ireland and Cheryle Taylor; 12 and over, Melody Ireland and Denise Ireland; Adult race, Glen and Delphine Jacques. Bean bag throwing, men against women, men win - et 2 out of 3; Throwing bean bag into hula hoop, women winning. Snake race and bean bag bowling was enjoyed by young and old, ending with a candy scramble for the children. Following the Sports, Ken- neth MacDonald of Tees - water said Grandpa Edgar's blessing and all sat down to a delicious smorgasbord sup - Per - A short business meeting was held by the president, Maitland Edgar of Petrolia. Two minutes silence was ob- served in memory of Mrs. Lillie Weir and Clifton Ire- land, who passed away since the last reunion. This week the girls are picking stones for Barry • Ireland. Mrs. Ireland ex- plained they never hired an Agricrew before, but she and her husband are pleased with the program and the students' work. "The kids work had and it gives the farmer a chance to get work done he normally wouldn't have time to do," she said. Was conducted by Garry Chambers and. • thiieinon was dehvered by a m of the congregation, Paul Elgie. • Spontaneous praise was sung, followed by the opening prayer in unison. The scripture was taken from the Gospels of John, Matthew and Mark and Mr. Elgie ably spoke on the tonic 'Praise God Almighty and Jesus Chriit'. • The choir, with Tharon. Riley and Gordon Kaster playing guitars, Janice McMichael with tambourine and Lynne Chambers at the organ, sang four anthems which were well received and appreciated. A large attendance turned out to hear this exceptional service. The annual reunion of the fafnily of the late Bert Harris was held on the Gadke Island at Lakelet on Sunday. A delicious cookout was en- joyed by all. Entertainment was provided by water skiing, games and boating. The oldest person was Mrs, Annie Harris, the youngest ' Kristopher Rams of Toronto. Those attending were from Toronto, Brussels, Clifford, Kitchener, Wingham, Teeswater and Blyth, Neil Murray returned from a week's visit with his cousins, Stephen and Brian Giles of Don Mills.
