LIBRARY OPENING—Lt. Governor Pauline McGibbon of Ontario cut the ribbon
to officially open the new headquarters of the Huron County Library in Goderich
last week. Holding the ribbon were Don McGregor, former Chairman of county
council's property committee, and Joe Kerr, cutrent chairman of the committee.
The county nes spent about $200,000 on the building (formerly a Pentecostal
Church), renovatIonS and shelving. The library is located on Waterloo Street,
near the square. •

board of education levy, and
will write a letter saying so.
Council received,a letter
from the Minty asking for
input into the proposal by the
board of education to collect
the levy four times rather
than twice a year.
The board explained the
change would mean an in-
terest saving of about $7,000
a year to it, however
Councillor David Cameron
commented he can't see any
advantage to the
municipality and Councillor
Tom Deyell, finance com-
mittee chairman, said he
opposes any change.
