ACW hold
April meeting
at church,
FORDWICH — The Apri
meeting of Trinity Anglican
Church Women was held
Thursday night at the church.
The president, Mrs. Stewart
Rowley,. opened with prayers.
Devotions were -taken by.Mrs.
Emmerson Ferguson and
Elva Foster.
The rollcall was answered
by 16 members. Several items
'of correspondence were read.
Final plans were made for the
dinner Saturday following the
wedding.
Several banquets will be
eatered,to'ori April 24; AIay 9,
and June 10. The 53rd wtlekend
will be' held in London on June
6, 7 and 8. It is hoped someone
will attend.
The Thankoffering will be
held• on Sept. 11 and .neigh-
bouring churches will be in-
vited to attend. A music night
is platnned to be held the first
Sunday in September at the
Howick, Central School.
Members were invited to
attend the Thankoffering
service Sunday night at the
Fordwich United Church and
also tp the Gorrie United
Church on April 23. •
A. bazaar tea will .be held
Saturday, Nov. 1 in the Ford-
with Community' Hall. It is
hoped that as many' as
possible will attend the craft - •
show at- the Howick Com-
munity' Centre on Saturday;
April 19. A bus .trip. was also
discussed.
A quilt will be quilted andit
is hoped that as many people
as possible will help quilt,
which will take place ,at the
home of Marian Kirby.
Mrs. Wellington Hargrave
gave a very humorous
reading. Members will also be
catering to a wedding•in June.
Rev. 0. Larramie closed the
meeting with prayer and a
social half hour was enjoyed.
