We discussed personalizing our rooms with respect to color and texture as well as choosing accessories such as wall hangings, collections, plants and dried flowers. Our leaders explained the different types of hangers and how to hang a picture. We each cut out paint, wall- paper and carpet samples to complete our room color scheme. • Daryl Walker, Mr,, and Mrs. Joe Walker, Kevin, Sheila and; Marie. • Mr. and Mrs. Alex MaeTavish visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.. Council ;Siva its 'apprroval tc : two applications for severances which came before it at the April meeting last Week. The first severance, for Jaynes and Edythe Coultes, proposes to separate two 100 - acre farms on Con. 10, Lot 37. The second, for Alan McBurney, proposes to sever a 214 -acre lot from ..:the remainder of the farms on Con. 10, Lot 34. Mr. McBurney intends to retain the lot and sell the rest of the farm. Council approved this severance application since it felt the lot being severed is not prime farm land, • however Councillor Ralph Campbell declared a possible conflict of interest and did not vote on it. Both severance applications now go to the county land division committee at Goderich for a final decision. In other business at the. meeting council agree(' tovie $i,000 to the BlythndDiact Community Centre Board te replenish its working capital. The board, which incurred a $1,048 deficit last year, asked for a total of $5,400 to be shared 'among the village of Blyth ($1,625) and the town- ships of Hullett ($1,625), East Wawanosh ($1,000) and Morris ($750). Isobel Arbuckle was again nominated as the represen- tative from East Wawanosh and Blyth to the Wingham and District Hospital Board. Blyth will be notified of the nomination. Municipalities served by the hospital are invited to send in nominations for their representatives on the board, which is elected at the annual meeting of the hospital association each spring.
