A WORD TO
THE WISE IS
SUFFICIENT
• Be careful when buying law quality, mass prbduced
oil paintings. During the past few years there has been
a great influx into Canada of this type, mainly from
Hong Kong,'Taiwan and Korea (Asian Art).
• A large size painting (24" x 48) of this type is complete in ten minutes, and
should retail In a plastic frame for 575.00 maximum.
•`The same scene is repeated over and over again and yet they often are adver-
tised erroneously as being an "Original Oil Painting"
• There is nothing on the canvas to indicate where it came from, and the signa-
ture of the so-called artist is meaningless, since they are normally signed with
fictitious names
• When considering buying an oil painting, whether for decorative purposes or for
investment, it is always wi eV buy from a Reputable Art Dealer.
• Cameo Galleries specializes in fine original oil paintings by talented Canadian
and European artists, and have been in business for more than ten years
