Drainage debenture increase;:

Minister Lorne ,C.. Henderson
has announced thatadditional
funds are being made avail-
able for drainage grants to
cover the backlog of projects
which have been completed
and inspected, but for which
no funds were previously
available.
The additional money will
apply only to the March 1980
tile drainage debentures. To
qualify, municipalities must
have their completed .deben-
ture, dated March1,'1980, in
the ministry offices in Toronto
by February 29, 1980.
Loans. to individuals from
this increased funding must
not exceed 75 per cent of- the
cost of the project. In addition,
there is a limit of $20,000 to
any one individual. Funding is
available, however, for the
entire backlog of completed
and inspected projects.
Mr. Henderson urged muni-
cipalities to make every effort
to get their documentation
into the ministryin time, to
take advantage of this extra
money. He stressed the bin -

February 24, Mrs. Adella
(Bammie) Fisher, in 'her
107th year. She was one of
Canada's oldeat residents
and had been a reeiident of
Seaforth Manor Nursing
Home before her con-
finement in hospital. Bern in.
Germany on March 17, 1873,
she moved to Dashwood in
1908 with her husband
Gottleib who died in 1922.
She is survived by . five
children, Edna Weber of
Dashwood, Gertrude
Musser of London, Clarence
(Jack) of Winghamn, Louis of
Oshawa and Albert, Regina.
There are 21 grandchildren,
42 great grandchildren and
one great great grandchild.

iac Allan dies. in Florida
Charles Richard Malcolm
Allan of Wroxeter, retired as'
an executive with the Bank of
Montreal, died in ,St. Peter-
sburg, Florida, on February
19 after a brief illness. He ways
75 years old.
Mr. Allan . spent 46 years
with the Bank of Montreal and
the Molson's Bank where he
started his banking Career in
Teeswater. He retired in 1968
from ---his last position as
president, Bank of Montreal
(California) in San Francisco.
Previously, from 1950 to
1960, Mr. Allan was manager
at two senior branches of the
bank in Montreal, University
and St. Catherines and St.
Peter and St. James, the latter
having been the head office of
the Molson's Bank until it was
absorbed by the Bank of
Montreal. During his long
career, he held appointments
at bank brenchesin Alvinston,
Tillsonburg, London,
Gananoque, Windsor and
Toronto.
He was born in the village of
Wroxeter on August 3, 1904,
the son of George and
Margaret Allan, and the
grandson of Nathaniel Allan,
one of the first settlers in the
village. He had one sister,
Mrs, Janet Macfarland of
Winnipeg, and a brother, the
late Dr. Frank Allan of
Boston.

Moore of RR 3, Wingham.
Rev. K. Barry Passmore
officiated at the funeral and
committal service and in-

Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore passed away
Friday, February 22, in
Maitland Manor Nursing
Horne, Goderlch. The former
Helen Alien Cronyn, she was
born in Kincardine en April 23,
1920, a 'daughter of the late
.Jim Cronyn and Gladys
Siemer. She was predeceased
by her husband in 1975.
Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs, Henry
(Marie) Biom of Whitechurch
and Mrs. Dave (Gladys)
Russell, Walkerton; and four
grandchildren. Mrs. Moore
was pr®deceased by curd
brothers and mat sister.
In 1930, he married Sara,
Gallagher of Teeswater.
Besides his wife, he leaves two
sons, George of Sarnia and
Richard, Toronto; and four
grandchildren.
He was a member of
Wroxeter United Church and a
50 -year Mason. He was a
member of the Kiwanis Club
of San Francisco .rand the St.
James Club of Montreal. An
ardent horseman, Mr. Allan
had a lifelong interest in
farming.
Friends paid their respects
at the Currie -Walker Funeral
Home, Wingham, until
Saturday at two o'clock when
Rev. J. E. Fellows conducted
funeral service. Final resting
place will be Wroxeter Ceme-

dies in hosp.
Passed away Tuesday,
February 19, at the Wingham
and District Hospital, Mrs.
Henry Otto of RR 5, Wingham
in her 44th year.
Mrs. Otto was the former
Dorothea Schaaf and was born
in Dreihausen, West Ger-
many, on January 28, ,1937.
She is survived by,', her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bal-
thasar Schaaf; her husband,
Henry; two daughters,
Kathhrina ang1Elizabeth,, both
at home; and one sister in
Germany. She was pre-
deceased by one brother,
Henry Schaaf, in 1975.
Complete funeral and
committal service was held
Thursday, February 21, at two
o'clock at the Currie -Walker
Funeral Home. Don Vair
officiated and was assisted by
