First meeting of 4-H Club BELGRAVE — The first meeting of the Belgrave I 4-H club was held on February 4 at the Women's Institute Hall. The meeting opened with the 4-H pledge and motto, follow- ed by the election of officers. They are as follows: President, Cathy Shiell; Vice president, Lisa Thomp- son; secretary, Meribeth Scott; press reporter, Sheila Anderson. This club, "Your Corner of the World", involves bedroom decorating and mac- rame. The members discussed the objectives and requirements for the club. The leaders re- viewed the necessary 'materials and read a brief his- tory of macrame. The girls practised the larks head knot, the wrap and the half knot twists. LAKELET MACRAME MAIDS The members chose their dub name when they held their second meeting at the home of Mrs. Jack Wright. Mrs. Schmidt showed the girls how to do a half -knot and they started on their 'macrame projects. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Sch- midt. ,, • T T—Two Grade 13 students of F. E.
