Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCallum of Wingham, ac- foompanied by Mrs. Sheldon Mann, visited Wednesday with Miss Clara McCallum of Stratford. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Cullen of Molesworth visited Sunday at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Hoy of Wingham and Mr. and Mrs. George Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Elschner visited Mr. and Mrs. Barry Mitchell on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Un - derwood and Kyle of Witigham visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Underwood. - Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Vines of Listowel visited Mrs. Albert Dustow on Sunday. Ken Gregory of Listowel visited Saturday with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Gregory. Mrs. Alvin Mundell returned home from Victoria Hospital, London, on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. John Mc- Cutcheon spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Moloney and Christopher at Bramalea. On Sunday they visited at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gogo and Mr. and Mrt. R. White in East Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Hector Hamilton have returned from a two-week holiday on Maui, Oahu and Kauai Islands of Hawaii. HEAVY LOAD—A new press for Stanley Door Systems Ltd. arrived here on a flatcar last week and was transferred to the Stanley factory.,The machine weighs more than 60 tons and is capable of exerting a pressure of 1,500 tons. It will be used for pressing out the company's Sta-Tru front entrance doors. According to Manager Tom Greenall, the press is the only one of this size in Ontario. Junior Farmers compete In winter games Feb. 1 ST. THOMAS—Junior Farmer. activities aren't limited to the summer months. One of their largest annual events is the provincial winter games which will be held this year on Feb. 161 In 'the spirit of cooperation and competition, more than 500 Junior Farmers from across the province will participate in the 1980 games, hosted by the Elgin County Junior Farmers. • Federal Agriculture Minister John Wise; MPP Ron McNeRawaparliarnentar assistant to Lorne HeliderSott, Ontario minister of agriculture and food; Lester Longhust, Elgin County warden, and Mayor Don Hitch, of St. Thomas will help Junior Farmer dignitaries officially open the 1980 games. Ther ceremony will be held at the St. Thomas Curling Club at 8:30 a.m. The ganle,s feature men's, women's and mixed com- petitions in basketball, volleyball, badminton, curling - and bowling. The locations for the events are the following: for basketball; Central Elgin Collegiate Institute; for volleyball and badminton, YMCA Complex; for curling, St. Thomas Curling Club, and for bowling, St. Thomas Bowling Lanes. Participants in the games qualified by winning local county and zone competitions. Winning teams will be presented with Junior Farmer medallions. • This provincial event is one of the many activities spon- sored by the Junior Farmers Association of Ontario for its 7,000 Members, who range in age from 15-30.
