Charlotte Lawrence of Gorrie.°

ficiated and Mrs. Beverley
Noble was soloist, Prior to the
service friends had paid
respects to Mrs. Lawrence's
family at the M. L. Watts
Funeral Home, Gorrie Chapel.
Pallbearers were Dick 'Car-
son, Harold Hyndman, Bev
Currah, Joe Moore, Doug
Noble and Dave Neilson.
Spring interment will take'
place in Gorrie Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence, who resided
at the Rammeloo Rest Home,
Blyth, at the time of her death,
passed away Wednesday,
January 30, at St. Joseph's
Hospital, London. She was in
her 96th year and, although
she had been in failing health
for some time, she suffered a
broken leg on January 12.
Mrs. Lawrence was born in
Rockhouse, Balocroy, Ireland,

Anglican Church, Gorrie, and
the Women's Auxiliary.
Her husband, Charlie
Lawrence, predeceased her m
1945; and two daughters, Mrs.
Gerald (Olive) May of Gorrie
and Mrs. Correlle (Edna)
Nevilles of Toronto, also
predeceased her. She was the
last surviving member of her
family, having been.
predeceased by ten brothers
and three sisters in England.

A well-known resident of
Morris Township, where he
farmed and served as road.
Superintendent for the past 24.
years, William Cameron
McArter of RR 4, Brussels,
passed away suddenly at his
home on the'fifth•concession of
Morris on Saturday, January
26. He was in his 48th year.
Mr. McArter was born and
lived all his life on the farm
where he died. Born May 1932,
he was the son of the' former
Nellie Anderson, now residing
at Huronview, and the late
Ivan McArter. He received his
elementary school education
at SS No. 3, Morris., He at-
tended Knox United Church,
Belgrave.
In 1960, he married the
former Florence Cook in' the
United Church, Belgrave. She
mourns his passing, as do two
children, Joanne and Gary,
both at home. Also surviving
is' One brother, 'Donald of
Brussels; and one sister, Mrs.
Cal . (Jean) Davidgon, Kit-
chener.
The late Mr. McArter rested
at the M. L. Watts Funeral
Home, Brussels Chapel,
where friends paid their
respects until Monday, Janu-
ary 28, when complete funeral
and committal service was
conducted at two o'clock by
Rev.. John Roberts of
Belgrave. Final resting place
will be Brussels Cemetery.
