Yes, the 'Carnival syn- drome' has hit the Wingham Figure Skating Club for the 28th year in a row. The theme this year is 'Cavalcade of Sports'. We, have everything from swinuners to football players and -if you think basketball on ice is not possible, we can prove you wrong. The carnival will be held Feb. 9 at 8 p.m.. We hope to have a good turnout. In the meantime every- one is going to have their hands busy getting ready in time. The beginning of the year brings the competitive spirit into our veins and although it isn't exactly the Canadian cham- pionship, our skating club will be holding a club competition. The winners this competition go on to interclub competition, which will be held this year in Stratford. Competition there will be a little harder, because it includes all the club competitors in our division.
