Hawks' the lead with his power-
play goal as he drilled one from
the slot. Bernie Haines got that
one back with three militates
remaining in the period as he
drilled one by McNair after
crossing the blueline.
Kinahan gave the Ironmen the
lead again at 4:03 of the second
period when he released a wrist
shot that eluded McNair as he
was partially screened. From
that point on McNair was un-
willing to give up any more goals
to the Ironmen shooters. He
stopped many etCallent scOriag
chances as he played superbly
between the pipes.
Before the period ended Clint
Petteplace, Terry Davidson and
PaW Berberich connected to give
the Hawks a 5-3 lead. Petteplace
potted one in the third to round
out the scoring and clinch the 6-3
decision for the Hawks.

a referee in the ORA; in my eyes
he is the worst I have ever seen.

Saturday the Lions ran into
some super goaltending by Todd
Moxan in Clinton and although
Wingham had the majority of the
play throughout the game,
Clinton collected the two points
with a 5-2 win. Brent Daw had
himself a field day blasting
screened shots from the point and
came away with four of Clinton's
goals, three of them on power -
plays. Greg Flowers added the
other goal on another powerplay.
Darryl Holmes and Leo Kinahan
replied for the Lions, who outshot
Clinton, 40-24.
Sunday in Lucknow, the Lions
fell behind 4-1 in the first period
before they found their skating
legs and were able to play even -
with the hustling Lucknow squad.
Al Rivett, Kevin Lindsay and. Ed
Davidson each scored tvvicilfor
Lucknow with Dave Gibson, John
Hopf and Kent Alton collecting
singles. Darryl Holmes, Paul
Montgomery, Bob Alton, Dan
Martin and Dickie Moore scored
for Wingham. Final score was 9-
5.
The Lions play Seaforth this.
