Miss Mary Turner
dies at Huronview
at the age of 103'
One of Huron County's oldest
residents, Miss Mary Turner of
Huronview, died December 27 at
the age of 103,
Born in Tuckersmith Township
on December 11, 1876, Miss
Turner was a daughter of the late
Edward Turner and Eliza Code.
She was educated at SS No. 6,
Tuckersmith, and lived in
Wingham andinton before
moving to Huronview. She was a
member of the Wingham United
Church.
Miss Turner was predeceased
by; her parents, five sisters and
t brothers. She is survived by
'several nieces and nephews, as
well as several great nieces and

December 29 at the Ball Funeral
Home, Clinton, with Rev. Nor-
man Pick officiating. Interment
followed in Clinton Cemetery

dies at Palmerston
A •native of Howick Township,
Willmer (Bill) •Newton . of
Newbridge, died Friday, Jan. 4,
at Palmerston and .District
Hospital. He was :in his 81st year.
. Baru in Howick Township on
Sept. 14, 1899, Mr. Newton was a
son off the late Albert Newton and
Matilda Gummerson. He was a
retired farmer and carpenter.
Mr. Newton was a member of
the Fordwich Anglican Church.
He is survived by one brother,
Samuel of Newbridge. He was
predeceased by two brothers,
George and Wesley; and by one
sister, Mrs. Art (Sadie) Hunt. He
is also survived by three nieces
and two nephews.
The late Bill Newton rested at
the M. L. Watts Funeral Home,
Gorrie Chapel, where complete
funeral and committal service
was conducted Monday at 8:30
p.m. by Rev. Orrance Laramie of
the Anglican Church. Interment
will take placein the Fordwich
Cemetery.
I wish to thank all those who
visited me, sent cards, gifts and
flowers to me while I was a
patient in Wingham and District
Hospital imd Victoria Hospital.

Dr. Tew. Your kindness will

Regina St., Waterloo died Dec. 27
at the K -W Hospital, Kitchener.
She was the daughter of the
late Nicholas, and Clara Cook,
«and was born in Clifford.
Her husband, Peter Merk-
linger, predeceased her. She is
survived byone brother, Clifford
of Gorrie. Predeceased by one
brother, Carl; and two sisters,
Mrs. Melvin (Florence) Green -
ley, and Mrs. John (Edna) Mus-
grove. She is survived by several
nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held
Sunday, Dec. 30 at 1:30 p.m. in
the chapel of the Edward R. Good
Funeral Home, 171 King St. S.,
Waterloo.
Cremation had taken place.

Finley, Mrs. Robertson was born
in Wroxeter on January 24, 1881.

P.hippen.. For some time she was
.employed as a glove maker 'by
Gurney Glove Works, Wingham.
She was a member of St. Paul's
Anglican Church. '
She married Mr. Robertson on
October 28, 1903, - and, he
mredder_.eased her in 1954. She was
also predeceased by a grandson,
Reginald Coulter, in 1968; nine
brothers, and three sisters.
She' is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. • Alex (Marion.).
Coulter of Goderich;, one grand-
daughter, Mrs. Patricia Grey of.
Calgary and one great grandson,
Jeffrey Coulter, Goderich.
A complete private funeral
service was held at the Currie -
Walker Funeral Home,
Wingham, on Monday, conducted
by Rev. 'John T. M. Swan. Final
resting place will be Wingham
Cemetery.
