FARMER JOHN'S FLATS—Older folk will remember
reading about an unfortunate young lad who went skating
on Farmer Gile's Pond, against the' aof parents
and much to his mfsfortune. Happily thatdvice Is nothis the case
with youngsters who are currently enjoying skating on the
frozen flats of the John Armstrong farm on the sixth con-
cession of Howick Township, east of Fordwich. Among

above Is Jody Potts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Potts Of
RR 2, Harriston and the Armstrong boys, Mark, Bradley
and Kevin - along with assorted dogs. According to the
Armstrongs it has been about a doyen years since the flats
provided such winter fun.
