festive season as they gathered to
share a buffet Christmas dinner
at the Day Centre for the
Homebound this week.
A carol and worship service, in"
which many.of the clients parti-
cipated, made up the afternoon
program. The Wingham Public
School Choir, under -the
leadership of Brenda Schedler,
sang _and entertained the group
with Christmas melodies. Santa
atm,after hearing the. children
sing, met each one and listened to
their _Christmas wishes.

ho -ho." Santa distributed fruit
baskets to each of. -the clients..
These baskets of fruit were
donated to the group by a
Wingham • resident. The gifts
were appreciated and appro-
priate.
The day centre staff would like

maid of honor. Miss Lyanne

wore long skirts of festive -red
velvet with fitted bodices -of -
snow-white silk. Each wore a

The celebration of the birth of
the Savior was the theme woven
throughout the meeting of the
Goforth -Evening Auxiliary held
December 18. Mrs. Wallace
Richardson convened °the
meeting.
Mrs. Arnold Taylor gave the
call to worship and Mrs. Parker
Campbell led in prayer-: Joanne
and Janette Taylor and Jennifer
Willis formed a trio and sang
"Happy Birthday, Jesus", ac-
' conlpanied by Sylvia .Beard.
A C`hristinas story, "The Little..
Black Lamb", was told by
Grandma Armstrong from her
rocking chair: The story .centred
around a special shepherd, Ish-
ma, who was tending his sheep on
the night Jesus was born and the
events that Ied up to his worship
of the' special_' Babe. •
The junior trio favored the
group with, two selections, ac-
companied by Mrs. Hugh
Clugston. Mrs. Mac Armstrong
and Mrs. Parker .Campbell
presented the scripture passages.
and 'meditations on the birth of
Christ. These were ;interspersed
with• Christmas carols. Mrs.

the Laotian family expected to

St. Andrew's Church was given..
The meeting closed with
prayer by the incoming President
and Christmas . goodies were
served. The executive meeting of
the Goforth Auxiliary will be held
