PARADE—Wroxeter held its fourth annual Santa Claus parade on Saturday. The village
enjoyed good weather for the event and many children brought their parents out to see the
floats and meet Santa.
GIRL GUIDES—The Wroxeter-Gorrie Girl Guides entered this float in the Santa Claus
parade held in Wroxeter last Saturday. "
75TH ANNIVERSARY—The-Babk of Commerce.in.Wrox-eter, which is celebrating its 75th
anniversary this month, entered a float in the village's Santa Claus parade last Saturday.

Potluck s pper

FORDWICH — The evening
unit of the United Church Women
began their December 14 meeting
with a potluck supper at the home
of Myrna Penny. Twenty-one
answered the•roll call with some
family traditions.
Mrs. Edith Gibson chaired the
business of the meeting. Unit
members were asked to bring
needles, safety pins, buttons and
plastic pill bottles for a bale in
March.
A Christmas card was signed
for Gertie McDougall at a Harris -
ton nursing home, also a get -well
card to be sent to Mrs. Morley
Johnson. Mrs. Gibson read the
new slate of ^fcicers for the
corning year,
Mrs. Ken Graham and Mr
-
Huy Hum read several poems
and Mrs. Ron Livermore sang
"In the Bleak Mid -Winter". The
program committee, Mrs. Clare
Harris and Mrs. Bill Hutchison,
centred their portion of the meet-
ing around a Christmas theme.
Mrs. Hutchison told about Christ-
mas symbols.
Gifts were distributed to Secret
Pals and new names were drawn
for 1978. Mrs, Gibson thanked the
hostess for the use of her home.
The next meeting vi1l be held
January 11 at the home of Mrs.

WROXETER — The United
Church Sunday'School Christmas
concert was held in the S.S.

Trinity children
enjoy Yule party
FORDWICH — Service was
held_on Sunday at 2:30 in Trinity
Anglican Church. At the conclu-
sion of 'the service the Sunday
School children and their leaders
decorated the Christmas tree and
, enjoyed singing carols and ex-
changing gifts.
A pot luck supper was served in
the Sunday School rooms, with
the table centred with a birthday
cake commemorating the birth of
Jesus.
