At that time the club received its charter and the members were given certifi- cates and pins. Almost 200 Kinsmen and their wives from clubs throughout the region attended the charter cere- monies at the Wingham Legion hall. The evening which also fea- tured a dinner and dance was or- ganized by the Kinsmen Club of Wingham, sponsors of the Bel - grave club. The club also received its regalia. District I Kinette convener Phyllis Livesey attended the meeting to welcome the new club and promised to call on their wives and invite them into the Kinettes- Mayor William Walden of Wingham, reeves Simon Halla- han of East Wawanosh and Bill Elston of Morris, MPP Murray Gaunt and MP Robert McKinley were guests at the charter night. The charter executive of the new club comprises Lloyd Michie; president; Jeff Hurst, vice-president; Lorne Campbell, secretary; Ken Hopper, treas- urer; Bill Stevenson, registrar; and Bob Taylor, bulletin editor. Paul McKee, Glenna Coultes, Harvey Black and Roy Taylor ate directors. Charter members of the club are: John Campbell, Ron Cook, Bryan Black, Wayne Fear, Niel Edgar, Wayne chandler, Bill Fear, Allan Bridge, Blakc Evans, John Nixon, Gord Pengelly, John VanCamp, Gord Folkart. • Murray Black, Bob Gordon, Don Procter, Harold Jardine, Cam Cook, Grant Vincent, Clarence Walker, Robert White, Rodney White, Tom Black, Ted Moran and Robert Copland. Family planning is theme of Institute guest speaker FORDWICH — Mrs. Ruth Lin- opened with the Ode and Mary ton of the Huron County Health Stewart Collect. The topic, taken by Mrs. J. Timperley, -stressed teaching a child rules on responsibility. She':;, said that a child must learn to play and to love, he must .be helped to develop character and hemust be given praise when he deserves it. She stressed a happy family life to make children feel secure. Plans were discussed for the annual Christmas'party, also the yearly visit to the local nursing home. The president gave a re- port on the WI area convention held at Bingeman Park, Kitche- ner. Mrs. R. Agla and Mrs. Stan Bride took part in the evening's entertainment, depicting the life of Miss Helen McKercher who is retiring from her position with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, a position she has held for u any years. Roll call was an- swered with a health rule to teach a child. A contest was conducted by Mrs. Bruce Agla and after closing the meeting, lunch was served by Mrs. William Wilson, Mrs. Lorne Kelly and Mrs. Wal- lace Bilton. Howick Juves stage comeback The Howick Juveniles played' their best game of the season last Wednesday when they carne from behind to defeat Blyth 7-6 in Blyth. Howick was trailing 6-3 with only 14 minutes left in the game when Jerry (the Flying Pole) Olechowski scored his second of three goals. With 4:08 remaining in the match, captain Don Adair let loose with a hard slapshot from the point that the goaltender didn't have a chance to grab. With 2:28 left, Adair scored again, grabbing a rebound in front of the net and tucking it in, to tie the game. Finally, with 1:39 left in the game, Randy Clark moved the puck out of the Howick zone and passed to Al Bragg, who - sent Olechowski in to score the winner. In addition to Olechowski's hat trick and Adair's pair of goals, Howick received markers from Al Bragg and Dave Townsend. Randy Clark assisted on the last' three goals and played a strong defensive game, The next game for Howick is Thursday, Dec. 1, at Drayton, beginning at 8:30 p.m. CHARTER NIGHT—Program chairrl-nan Alex Strong of the Wingham Kinsmen Club addressed the large crowd at the Wingham Legion Hall during charter night for the new Belgrave Kinsmen Club, ,Nov. 25. Head table guests includ- ed Kinsmen National Director John Boreham, District Governor Wayne Newell, Deputy Governor Ron Heipel, Kinette District Co-ordinator Phyllis Livesey and Wingham President Gary Watcher.
