Wingham Advance -Times, November 16, 1977 Whitechurch Personal Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tiffin, Mr. and Mrs. Dave McGlynn, Kitch- ener, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Snowden attended the annual Ladies' Night and entertainment held at Victorian Inn, Stratford, on Sun- day. George Grigg i a patient in Wingham and District Hospital. His many friends in the com- munity wish him a speedy re- covery. Mrs. Gordon Rintoul was able to return home last week from University, Hospital, London. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Snowden and Billie Jr. of Goderich were Sun- day visitors with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tiffin. Mr. and_ Mrs. Donald Gaunt and baby Jennifer of Chatham spent a few days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Purdon, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs: Russel Gaunt of Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenag- han on Friday took his mother, Mrs. Ben McClenaghan,"to visit at Plattsville with her daughter, Mrs. Harry Moss, and Mr. Moss. Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan visited with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Geiger of Kitchener. Hugh Summon attended a weekend ukelele seminar at Toronto in connection with school work. Visitors during the week and weekend with Mrs. Agnes Far- rier were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Fur - bur of Fisdale, Saskatchewan; Mr. and Mrs: Gordon Furbur of Fylvania, Saskatchewan; Mr. and Mrs. Carman Farrier, Brian and Carol and Miss Winnifred Farrier, all of Toronto. Mrs. Agnes Farrier and Mrs. Lorne Durnin visited Monday with Mrs. Don Bushell of Kinloss. Whitechurch Community Hall \ ; Board met in the hall Monday evening to make plans for their old-time dance corning up on November 25. Whitechurch play, "The Wacky Widow", is scheduled to go to Ripley November 25. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw, Janet and Kimberley, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kerr of Bluevale visited with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moore and family of Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw of Windsor spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ducharme of Goderich were also visitors at the Laidlaw home. Miss Janet Sleightholm of Toronto spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sleightholm. Weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul were Mr. and Mrs. Dave Oberholtzer, Jeffery and Julia of Waterloo and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Campbell of Kitchener. 4, 4,0 %, • rr r1;,r, GLEN GREEN AWARD -Karen Metzger of RR 3, Luck - now, won the show halter donated by Glen Green Forage Mixtures to the top 4-H Beef Club, member in Huron County on the "Basis of Awards". Karen, a member of the Luck - now 4-H Calf Club, won with 881 of a, possible 1,000 points.
