Howick wins first game The Howick Juveniles won. their season opener 5-4 over Blyth Juveniles last week. Garth Dickert's one goal and two assists played an important part in the game, and the rest of the team played a strong check- ing match. Blyth was leading 4-3 at the 17 - minute mark of the third period when Jerry (The Flying Pole) Olechowski scored his first goal of the season to tie it 4-4. With Steve Coulter displaying some good goaltending, Howick held on until Al Bragg scored the winner from Randy Clarke at the 18 minute mark, and from there it was good defensive hockey. Other Howick scorers were Hary Gibson and Don Adair. Blyth goal getters were Terry Pierce, Brad Bromley, Steve Robinson, and Brian Bromley. Howick's next game is Sunday against Listowel Beavers.
