have returned from an All-Star
Bus Tour to the East Coast.
Mr, and Mrs. James Murphy of
Orlando, Florida, are visiting the
latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leppington
accompanied Mr. and Mrs. R, A.
Barrett of Waterloo, and spent
several days visiting at Ottawa,
Hull, Que., Upper Canada
Pioneer Village and Peter-
borough.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Clayton
of Wingham, accompanied by
,Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Haskins, at-
tended the wedding of their niece
on Saturday at Aylmer, Que.
Rev. and Mrs. R. A. Sinclair of
Rockway spent the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Mundell. Rev.
Sinclair was guest minister at the
Belmore anniversary service on
Sunday. Rev. and Mrs. W. A.
Henderson of Woodstock also
visited at the same home.
Local Air Cadets attend courses
Several cadets of 769 Squadron,
Royal Canadian Air Cadets,
Listowel, attended special
courses this summer at various
,places across Canada and over-
seas. Cadets are recommended
for Special Training by their local
Commanding Officer and are
selected by an Armed Forces
selection committee, being noti-
fied of selection decisions in late
June.
In July WO 2 Jeff Nay flew to
Britain for the coveted Inter-
national Exchange program,
spending the major part of his
summer representing Canada in
Britain and in West Germany.
Sgt. Dan Wilson completed a
Pilot `Training course at North
Bay and earned his Private
Pilot's Licence. Sgt.• Paul
Schnurr underwent Senior Lead-
er's Training at CFB Cold Lake,
Alberta in intensive studies on
leadership and responsibility.
Cpl. Doug Gray attended a six
week Technical Training course
at CFB Borden in Air Frame
Structures. Cpl. Dennis Chippa
,attended CSB 'Trenton on the
three week Junior Leader's
Course, while LAC Brent Gadke
attended the three week Air
Studies program at CFB Trenton.
Two other cadets, LACP Good-
all and LACG Grainger ,attended
regular two week Basic Training
camp at CFB Trenton from the
1st of August to the 15th. All
cadets agreed that the courses
provided them with invaluable
information and training as well
as an enjoyable and worthwhile
summer.
All Air Cadet special courses
are sponsored by the Air Cadet
League of Canada and take place
under the auspices of the Cana-
dian Armed Forces.
