Brussels, hopefully by the end of
October, says Peter Case, a

The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a sleeveless
gown of softly flowing white
organza and matching bridal hat.
The bodice and apron of the gown
were covered with apple blossom
appliques. Venetian lace scallop-
ing edged the apron and around
to the train. Along with her
bouquet of white roses •and baby's
breath the bride carried a lace
handkerchief which had belonged
to her paternal grandmother.
The maid of honor, Alma Beard
of Guelph, wore a floor -length
peach colored gown off polyester
knit. Over the halter -styled dress
she wore a matching chiffon
cape.` She carried a bouquet of
white daisies and baby's breath.
The bridesmaids, Anne Bell of
Ottawa, and Mary Pong, of
Toronto, wore gowns similar to,
the style worn by the '.maid 'of
honor, They also carried
bouquets of white daisies and
baby's breath.
The groom and his attendants
wore brown tuxedos with velvet
trim and cream colored ruffled
shirts. Best man was George
Westlake of Toronto. The ushers
were David Gidomski and Doug
las Lake, also of 'Toronto.
Mrs. Marilyn Brydges of Bel -
grave played "Air from the
Water Suite" by H. G. Handel as
the bride'entered the church and
as the couple left the church she
played the "Wedding March" by
Men del ssohn .
The reception was held at the
Blue Barn, Listowel.
Special guests included the
groom's 93 -Year-old paternal
'grandmother, Mrs\ Ellen Suther-
land from Toronto, and guests
who travelled from Oakville,
Toronto; Burlington, Ottawa,
Youngstown, Ohio, Kitchener and
Waterloo.
The couple spent two weeks in
.Hawaii and have now taken up
residence in Etobicoke.

LAKELET — Mrs. Elmer
Greenley was hostess for the
regular meeting of the Women's
Institute on •September 1. Mrs.
Harold Wallace, president, con-
ducted
onducted the meeting. After the Ode
and Mary Stewart Collect, devo-
tions were led by Mrs. Arnold
Kreller. Fourteen members and
two visitors answered the roll
call, "A product on the grocery
shelf that is no longer there",
with many varied answers that
brought back memories of
yesteryear.
An invitation to attend 'the
meeting of Greenbush WI in the
Senior Citizens' Hall, Harriston,
on September 14 was accepted.
Mrs. Doug MacGregor was
named as delegate to the Guelph,
Area Convention on November 3,
4 at Bingeman Park Lodge in
Kitchener. Delegates to the
Huron County Rally on October 3
at Howick Community Centre
will be Mrs. Don Juno and Mrs.
Arnold Kreller. A committee was
chosen to plan the October pro-
gram for Fordwich Nursing
Horne.
Mrs. Derril Hallman, convener
of Family and Consumer Affairs,
assisted by Mrs. Marian Dins-
more, led a demonstration on
needlepoint, and taught the basic
stitches. .
The meeting adjourned, and a
dainty lunch was served by Mrs.
Emmerson Ferguson and the
hostess.

turned recently from a two-week
conducted tour of Mexico with
Mr. and Mrs Reg Peacock and
family, Weekend visitors with
Mrs. Johnston were Mr. and Mrs.
Jim McCutcheon, Port Burwell,
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Johnston,
Carol Ann and Ruth Ann of Listo-
wel, Mr. and. Mrs. Jim Robinson
and Mr. and Mrs, Stewart Smith,
all of Kitchener.

and John of London spent the
holiday weekend with Frank's

M: s. Lloyd Montgomery. Mr. and
Mrs. Smith are remaining in the
area for a longer visit with rela-
tives.
