Soccer Style: We discussed the straight -on approach field goal kick, and here we will read about ' the spccer style kick. The soccer -style varies, but as a rule of thumb, take two steps back from the ball, and one step to the left, if you are right-footed. If you left-footed, reverse the procedure. Your first step is with your kicking foot and will land about half -way between you and the ball. The two most important factors are; where the contact is made in relation to the center of gravity of the ball; and the part of the foot that strikes the ball. - The convert is similar in all ways, except the ball is contacted lower for greater height at the line of scrimmage. The next step will place your left foot 14" to the left of the ball and your foot will be pointing t✓ directly at the goal posts. / The instep of the kicking foot is now positioned to m skp contact with the ball. The foot contacts the ball and follows -through. At all times, keep your head down with your eyes on the ball.
