A Brussels truck has hit the big
time. The 1936 antique truck,
owned by Jim McNeil and Sons of
Brussels, was used in a Holly-
wood movie which stars Mickey
Rooney and was filmed in Toron-

wanted a truck not fully restored
and found this one through the
Antique Club three months ago.

stock. Catherine is studying tex-
tile science at the University of
Guelph and is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Wilfred James of RR 3,
King City:
The process of selecting a dairy
princess started last fall at 42
county competitions held across
Ontario. Each area selected its
princess from among the daugh-
ters of active dairy producers.
These princesses spent much of
the following year speaking at
schools and luncheons as well as
appearing at various functions to
represent the dairy industry.
During the seven days of com-
petition at the Canadian National
Exhibition, Saturday, August 27,
to Friday, September 2, the prin-
cesses are judged on personality,
aptitude, public speaking ability
and knowledge of the dairy indus-
try.
Each night for four nights the
co -winners are chosen from
among 10 princesses to advance
to the semi-finals that begin on
the Wednesday evening. Points
are assessed on the basis of\,pri-

—Mr. and Mrs. Charles , Bos-
man have just returned from a
trip to Penticton, British Colum-
bia, where they visited with their
son and his family, Mr. and Mrs.
C. E. Bosman and family. The
weather was warm and sunny all
the time, withvery little rain.
—Several local residents at-
tended the -official closing service
of Langside Presbyterian Church
on Sunday afternoon. The wor-
ship building has served the
Langside community for 100
years and for many residents and
former residents, it was like say-
ing good-bye to an old friend. The
. Langside congregation will dis-
solve this week, leaving only a
few country churches operable in
this area.
THE ANNUAL MUNICIPAL
ENUMERATION
STARTS NEXT WEEK:
The annual municipal enumeration will begin on Tuesday, September 6,.
1977. During this month, an enumerator, carrying a proper identification
card, will call at your residence for a few minutes to check basic informa-
tion required in determing:
• the allocation of education property taxes between the public and
separate school systems;
• the distribution of provincial grants to local governments to help reduce
local tax bills;
• the preparation of jurors' lists; and
• population information needed for other municipal programs.
The enumerator must record such information as the name, age, property
status (e.g. owner or tenant), school support and residency of all members
of the household.
When the enumerator visits, please check that the information on the
Enumeration Notice is correct. If it is not, revise it and verify the changes.
