Oktoberfest ' night at Bingeman
Park on Saturday, complete with
authentic Oktoberfest decora-
tions, food and entertainment. At
the same time, in another part of
Bingeman Park, the Kiwanis
Club will be hosting a, traditional
medieval feast.
Athletes will also be treated to
nightly discos at the University
• flooding Kitchener -Waterloo this
weekend for the opening, of the
• fifth Ontario Summer Games.
More than 5,000 are expected at
the opening ceremonies Friday

Wingham's Golf and Curling
- Club is the big winner in the latest
round of Wintario grants an-
neunced by Culture and Recrea-
tion Minister Robert Welch last
week.
The club is to receive a grant

building a new curling facility, f
with the addition of a golf lounge,
to' replace the original structure c
closed this spring by the labor s
ministry. Construction is now a
underway on the new building. s
The new structure is being built g
in conjunction with the present f
golf club building in Morris --
Township. At a meeting earlier
this year, members of the golf
and curling clubs voted to merge
into a single organization.
