(A -T Photo) KINDERGARTEN—Jody Potts, Lisa Bride, Lorraine Bender, Mark McKay, Mary Lou Koenig, Larry Wilson and David Robinson are flanked by teachers Eileen Miller and Teresa Nickel. All were part of the six year old kindergarten class at Fordwich United's Summer Bible School. (A -T Photo) e rtl l es FORDWICH, - A total of 116 certicicates were presented til.., children at the closing exercises' of the Vacation Bible School held in the United Church last Thurs- -day ell the program of songs and a puppet show telling a Bible story depicting the theme 'Pray, Praise, Gjve Thanks", the audience visited the basement to view work and crafts done by the pupils and to enjoy a social time. Forty-one instructors taught a total of nine classes of children from 3-4 years to pre -teens. During the final week of the ,school each class visited the Fordwich Village Nursing Home taking crafts and singing for the patients. The children were warmly welcomed by ,the pa- tients and staff and the young- sters enjoyedthe visit as much as the patients. On Thursday morn- ing a, picnic scheduled- for the park was held in the church and enjoyed by all. - A choir of Bible School students was Featured at the closing exer- cises. Rev. Thomas Fleetham was chairman for the evening and demonstrations - were given by each class. Staff members included the fol- lowing: - Nursery: Mrs. Jim Taylor, Mrs. Donald Taylor, Mrs. Harry +Winkel, Mrs. John Armstrong, Cathy Gibson, Mary Lou Ruttan. Kindergarten 5 yr.: Arlene Cober, Lisa Lambkin, Nancy Versteeg, Margaret Borg, Sharon Borg. Kindergarten 6 yr.: Eileen Miller, Edna Loughran, Teresa Nickel, Laurie Brears. Primary 7 yr.: Mrs. Ron Liver- more, Brenda Mann, Mary Sie- fert, Patsy Faulkner. Primary 8 yr.: Shelley Zur- brigg, Donna Harding. Primary 9 yr.: Mrs. Hector Browne, Mrs. Stewart Rowley, Mrs. Ron Shelley, Cindy Huny- ady. Junior 10-11 yr.: Mrs. Scott Clarkson, Evelene Zurbrigg, Brenda Lockie, Ann Gibson. Preteen Girls, 12-13 yr.: Mrs. Cliff Coulter; Mrs. Laramie. Preteen Boys, 12-13 yr.: Rev. Thomas Fleetham, Rev. John Stinson. Music, Mrs. Donald Gedcke, Peggy Schneider and recreation, Wendy Baylor, Dianne Shelley, Beverley McCann. Visitor from Northern Ireland n qd GORRIE — Derek Quinton of nniskillen, Northern Ireland, spent a week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sanderson and family. He is a member of the Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster and is one of ten young people from the United Kingdom on an exchange with the Junior Farm- ers Association of Ontario. Derek spent his second week in this area with Mr. and Mis. Clar- ence Gibson and family of Ford- Wich and has now moved on to visit another part of the province.
