A pretty sticker Home economist appointments for County of Huron Miss Bea McClenaghan and Miss Grace Bird have been ap- pointed as }some economists for Huron County. Miss McClenaghan, a native of Southwestern Ontario, received her formal home economics training at the University of Manitoba. Since 1973, she bas been employed by, the Ontario Ministry. off. Agriculture and Food as the county home economist for Ontario and York Counties. Miss Bird began her duties as home economist .for Huron County on August 8th, 1977. She is a 1977 graduate from Family and Consumer Studies at the Uni- versity of Guelph. Fier major while there was Family Studies. Miss Bird comes from a dairy farm .n Halton County 'near Georgetown where she has been very involved in both 4-H home- milking and agricultural ' club work. These have given her a good background for her work here. As well, she .likes cooking, quilting and many outdoor sports activities. Botta women are looking for- ward with great interest to work- ing with the girls and women in Huron'- County in. the • coming months. Craig -Howson vows said at home • of bride Mr. and Mrs. W. Fred Howson of Blyth and Mr. and Mrs. Wil- liam L. Craig of Auburn are pleased to announce the mar- riage of their children, Margaret Jean and Brian Mackey. The wedding took place on the lawn of the bride's family home on Saturday, July 23, at 3:30 with Rev. S. McDonald officiating. Mrs. Sharee Bartliff of Clinton and Bill Sproul of Auburn were their attendants, as well as four little nieces of the bride who served as flower girls, Julie, Sandra and Sherri Howson of Blyth and Christa Crawford of Wingham. John Koopmans of Auburn greeted the family and close friends as they arrived. Following their honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs, Craig will be mak- ing their home in Guelph. Wingham couple is honored on 40th anniversary A family, party was held to honor the 40th wedding anni- versary of Mr and Mrs. W, Harper English of Wingham, at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Joanne McGuire, Ferndale. Festivities of the day included a barbecue and a mock wedding ceremony Guests attended from Wing - ham, Wiarton, Barrie and Fern- dale. Special guest was Mrs. English's mother, Mrs. H. J. Murrell of Wiarton. Many congratulations, sur- prises and gifts were received by the couple. was given each day a child attended and attached to a special sheet. Chepstow ceremony .for Moran -Wittman vows Mary Immaculate Church, Chepstow; was docorated with pink and red peonies for the cere- mony uniting in marriage Colleen Wittman of Chepstow and James Moran, Ambleside, on Saturday, June 4, at four•o'clock. Rev. L. P. Culliton heard the couple's vows and Mrs. Duffy Colvin was orga- nist. Soloist was Mrs:Jim Fisch- er. •Mr. and• Mrs. Alvin Wittman, Chepstow, are parents of the bride and the -groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Moran, Ambleside. The bride was given in mar- riage by her father and mother. She chose a floor -length gown of flocked organza, styled with cap- let sleeves and scalloped V neck- line trimmed with Venetian lace. The natural waistline was en- circled with matching lace,and a hemline flounce flowed into a cathedral train. She wore a Swiss mohair hat trimmed with Vene- tian lace and medallions with a wide satin band holding in place a full-length illusion veil with Venetian lace trim. She carried a basket containing her throw- away bouquet, her going -away corsage and mixed daisies, blue cornflowers, pink roses, baby's breath, pink carnations and lily - of -the -valley. Chepstow, a friend of the bride, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Ja- nice Kamrath, cousin of the bride, of RR 2, Mildmay, Kathy Gehl of Waterloo, cousin of the bride, and Carol Ann Moran, Am- bleside, sister of the groom. They were gowned alike in floor -length dresses of white flocked dacron over blue arrtel, styled with cap- let sleeves. The maid of honor carried a basket of pink carna- tions, blue cornflowers, blue mums, white daisies and baby's breath• tied with a pink how., The bridesmaids' gathering baskets contained white daisie3, blue cornflowers, pink carnations anti baby's breath and were tied with blue bows. in similar gowns and carrying identical flowers to those of the bridesmaids, were the flower girls,.Kimberley and Kelly Kam- rath, cousins of the bride, of RR 2, Mildmay.,, Ted Moran of Belgrave was his, brother's best man and guests were ushered by brothers of the 'bridal couple, • Barry Moran of Waterloo, Stephen Moran of Ambleside and Wayne Wittman, Chepstow. Wade Hall, cousin of the bride, of London was ring bearer. The groom and his at- tendants wore navy blue tuxedos with vests and blue shirts. The ring bearer wore a royal blue three-piece suit and a blue shirt. A reception followed at the Formosa Community Centre where guests were received by the bride's mother, atjired in yel- low dacron overarnel. She wore a light mauve orchid corsage.
