POTTERY & MACRAME crafts were featured in the display of Helen and -Melanie West
of Grand Bend. This is the first year the West's have exhibited at the Lucknow Craft
Festival, though they have been at many other craft shows in this area, taking in about
one a week during the summer. There's a..Iot of work involved in the making of pottery,
Melanie West said, explaining each piece is handled five or six times between its s start as a
lump clay and the time it is placed ondisplay.
Both she and her mother have been
working at the craft for about five years.
