Wroxeter will be hosting an
intermediate fastball tournament
this weekend, with $275 in prize
money up. for grabs as well as
trophies for the best teams and
most valuable player.
Twenty-two games are sched-
uled for the double knockout
tournament and 16 teams from
two divisions are taking part.
The first two games are set foIs3
Friday night in Wroxeter. Th
tournament then moves to Gorrie
for four games Saturday morn-
ing. Eight games are scheduled
for Saturday in Wroxeter and
eight more for Sunday.
The "B" championship game
will be in Wroxeter at 6:30 p.m.
with the "A" championship im-
mediately following at 8:30 p.m.
Trophies will go to the "A"
champion, donated by Wroxeter
Parks Board; "A" consolation
winner, donated by George
Hamilton; "B" champion,
donated by Chambers Dominion
Hardware; "B" consolation
winner, the Mac Allan Trophy;
and the most valuable player,
donated by Kaster's Food
Market.
Teams entered include Wing -
ham, Wroxeter, Mount Fdrest,
Fordwich, Ripley, Walton, New-
bridge, Harriston, Belmore, Clif-
ford, Mildmay, Durham, Chep-
stow, and three from Goderich.
The admission fee is one dollar
per day for adults.
