Miss Rosemarie White left on
Saturday for Conestoga Bible
Camp for six weeks, where she
Will be counselling young chil-
dren. Ruth Ann White is accom-
panying her sister, Rosemarie,
for a month.
Mr. and Mrs, William Black re -
.turned home last Tuesday after
attending the wedding of their
son, Tom Black, to Connie Kuc..of
Rose Valley, Saskatchewan on
Saturday, June 25 in the Rose
Valley United Church. Other
guests from this area attending
were Mrs. Gordon Riley and
Jodie of Dungannon, Mr. and
Mrs. Ron Cook, , Miss Barbara
Moore, Miss Marilyn Cook of
Blyth, Keith and Murray Black.
The village regrets loosing one
of its valued citizens, Mrs. Her -
son Irwin, who has moved to an
apartment in Wingham.
Mr. and Mrs. William Coultes
received word on Saturday of the
death of her uncle, Walter Timms
of Owen Sound.
Mrs. William Coultes, Andrea
and Alison, Mrs. Don Stabo and
Linda of Teeswater visited on
Sunday with their aunt, Mrs.
Norman Gillantly of Tillsonburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bolt visited
on Sunday afternoon with Mr.
and Mrs. Fraser Haugh and.
Eileen of Bluevale.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stokes
of Ingersoll visited on Sunday
evening with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie
Bolt.
Mr. and Mrs. George Robb and
family of London spent the week-
end with Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Jardin.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hibberd
attended the supper in Fordwich
United Church on Tuesday.
A large crowd gathered at
Brandon cemetery on Sunday
afternoon for the memorial ser-
vice. Mrs. George Procter pro-
vided accordion accompaniment
far" the hymn singing and Rev.
John Swan of St. Paul's Anglican
Church, Wingham, led in prayer
and gave the address.

enjoyed a bus trip to New Tribes
Mission Camp at Durham from
Wingham Baptist Church on Fri-
day, July lst.

attended the 25th wedding an-
niversary of Mr. and Mrs. ,Tack
Brown, forinerly of Fordwich, in
the John Dlefenbaker School,
Hanover, on Saturday afternoon.

Brian Augustine, who has been
visiting with grandparents, Mr;
and Mrs. Albert Bacon, returned
home to his family in Kamloops,
B.C. on Sunday.
Miss Dorothy Boyle of Toronto
visited on Thursday with Mr.and
Mrs. Robert�`,Coultes. Mrs. Coul-
tes and IViss Boyle visited with
Mrs. Pearl Wheeler at Huron -
view, Clinton on Thursday after-
noon.

was a weekend visitor with Marie

A surprise party was held at
the htune of Mr. and Mrs. Alex
MacTavish on Sunday to honor
them on their 30th wedding anni-
versary. Those present were Mr.
and Mrs. Bob MacTavish, Tim-
my and Kenneth; Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Wright; Mr. and Mrs. Ross
Gray; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Henning; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd
Walker, Douglas, Steven and
Beverly;. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Wright and Shari; Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Walker, Sheila and Kevin.
Edna and Alex were presented
with two wall hangings. A deli-
cious picnic supper was served
by the family.
OUTREACH PROJECT—Bea Abbott, field centre co-ordinator and Tom Beaver, statis-
tician, discuss the Rural Development Outreach Project at an open house last
Wednesday.. Project questionnaires in Wingham and Turnberry Township are attempting
to find the needs of rural area. Mrs. Abbott said they hope rural people will tell them their
needs and that the most important aspect is making contacts known and available to
people.
