Jonas Kaciulis of East Wawanosh finished second, followed by Sheldon Baker of Turnberry. Other competitors were Don Sholdice of Brussels, Ron Goetz of Grey Central and Doug Wood of Wingham. LOCKED IN A titanic struggle, Wingham's senior and intermediate boys finally went clown to defeat against East .Wawanosh. Michael Hamilton Stephan Nichols, Joe Skelding, Mike Rintoul, Steven Fitzsimmons, Blair Bushell, Jeff Jackson and Gary Adams were on Wingham's end ofthe rope. The action was part of last week's track and field day. FINALLY VICTORIOUS after a tough pull, the East Wawanosh senior and intermediate boys' tug of war team defeated a team from Wingham. Howick runners finished well all day during last week's field and track meet for North Huron Public School. Fordwich Personal Notes Mr and Mrs. John Harris of Owen Sound and Mrs. Clare Harris attended+the 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Carswell in Harriston. Several from here attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Campbell, held Fri- day evening at the Legion Hall in Harriston. Mrs. Dora Ridley is a patient in Listowel Memorial Hospital. Mr: and Mrs. Kerry Everall and son of Toronto spent the weekend at their home here. Mrs. Elmer Miller and Grant were in Toronto for a couple of days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Lambkin and Lisa attended their family reunion held at Atwood on Sun- day. Mr. and -Mrs. Lloyd Sim- rnermaker also attended.. Boyce Rice and Miss Betty Burnett of Springdale, New- foundland, spent several days with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Burnett. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clarkson visited Sunday with the latter's parents at St. Agatha. Mr. and Mrs. Barry D'Arcey, Jeff and Jason visited Saturday evening with Mr, and Mrs. Joe Nicholson at Jamestown. Mr. and Mrs. James Vittie and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sothern visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mulvey and family at Belmore. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Simmons spent a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Doug Wildfang at Mississauga. Mrs. Clare Harris spent a couple of days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Les Watkins at Bolton. Mrs. Don King returned home Tuesday from Listowel Memorial Hospital where she had been con- fined for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Finley and family of Acton spent the week- end at their home here. Mr:: and Mrs. Joe Nicholson and boys of Jamestown were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Klaassen. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Bride at- tended the Bride reunion Sunday in New Hamburg. Mr. and Mrs. James Vittie at- tended Open House Saturday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. William Dettman who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, held at the Wroxeter Hall. Mr. and Mrs. David Snider, Mark and Barbara of Kitchener were weekend visitors at their home here.
