The UCW was asked to cater to
the 25th anniversary df the Lake -
let Institute Nov. 18. Plans were
made for the annual mother -
daughter meeting to be held July
19 at Mawhinneys Campgrounds.
• Devotions are to be arranged by
Jackie and Pauline Dustow, Mar-
lene Mawhinney and Cheryl Bus-
by. Program and sing song will
be arranged by Barbara Hark-
ness and Gail Renwick.
The women also made glitns for
a church service in July which
they will conduct. Speaker will be
Mrs. Malgaret Wood with special
music by. Roy Haskins. Laurine
Wright and Helene • Haskins
volunteered to decorate the
church for anniversary Sunday
July 19,

Bushell -Henderson ceremony
performed at St. Andrew's
A double -ring ceremony was
performed May 27 to unite Lori
Lee Henderson of Kitchener and
John Robert Bushell of Missis-
sauga. Their marriage took place
in St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church, Wingham, and was
solemnized by Rev. Robert H.
Armstrong.
Parents of the bride and groom
are Mr. and Mrs. John Henderson
and Mr. and Mrs. Morley
Bushell, all of Wingharn.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a floor -length
white gown, hand crocheted by
her mother. It featured an em-
pire waistline accented by
rosettes and a rounded neckline.
The sleeves were belled from the
elbows and also had rosettes
above the bells. Matching
rosettes adorned a cap which
held her floor -length veil.
.The bride's attendants wore
rose colored polyester jersey
dresses with attached short
capes. They carried baskets 'of
dried flowers. Maid of honor was
Miss Lynda Hohner, Kitchener,
friend of the bride, and brides-
maids were Miss Margaret
Bushell, sister of the groom, Miss
Janet Morris, Kitchener, friend
of the bride, and Miss Ellen
Rodger, cousin of the bride, who
served as junior bridesmaid.
Rob Young, Mississauga,
friend of the groom, was best
man and the ushers were
brothers of the bride and groom,
Tim Henderson, Bill Bushell and
Blair Bushell. Steven Sallows
played and sang "I Can't Help
Falling in Love With You" and
"If" -

mother wore, a pink polyester

roommates, Jeannette Barr .and
Susan Wilson of Kitchener; her
• maternal grandmother, Mrs.
John Gerrie of Harriston; Wing -
ham neighbors, Helen Lee, Ruby

Maude Schiestel; the groom's
\ aunt, Mrs. Don Bushell of Holy -
rood; and a friend of the bride,

Mr. and Mrs. Bushell are now
residing in Mississauga.

line with a sheer nylon Overskirt
falling softly into a short train.

line. It was complemented with a
mohair picture hat with nylon
streamers.
Maid of honor was Miss Mari-
lyn Spear, London, and brides-
maids were Lynn Smith; 'Toronto,
and Susan Ashmore, .Sudbury.
They were .gowned alike in poly-
ester dotted Swiss in delicate
apricot shade. the gowns were
styled with fitted' empire waist-
lines and ruffles on the shoulders.
They carried nosegays of apricot
tea roses with stephanotis.
In a similar ensemble was the
flower girl, Michele Spear of Lon-
don. She carried a bouquet of
spring flowers tied with varie-
gated ribbon.
Duncan Turnbull of Toronto
was best roan and ushering
guests were Gary R. Ashmore,
Sudbury, and David N. Brunne,
Uxbridge. Erich Spear of London
was ring bearer. •
.A reception followed in the gar-
den of the bride's parents' home
under a green and white striped
marquee with spring flowers
blooming all around.
The bride's mother wore a
floor -length gown of yellow flow-
ered nylon speer. The groom's
mother chose a gown of copen
blue crepe styled with empire
waistline and Hill skirt. Grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Stew-
art of Montreal, were honored
guests.
For travelling to Quebec City
and the Gaspe Peninsula, the
bride wore a two-piece multi-
colored jersey suit with white ac-
cessories and a gardenia cor-
sage.
Mr. and Mrs. Spry will reside
at 3105 Queen Frederica, Apt. 801,
Mississasga. Both are graduates
of Westefn University.
