Sacred Heart Roman
Catholic Church, Wingham.
Mrs. Hones, the former
Evelyn Maria During, is a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Gerhard During, Wingham.
The groom's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Bernhard Hones,
Gorrie.
Rev. Stan Soltysik per-
formed the ceremony amid a
setting of gladioli, mums and
daisies. The Sacred Heart
Folk Choir led by Mrs. Sally
Campeau provided special
music.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father and
chose a traditional white
gown covered, with chiffon
with an; ice lace jacket. The
dress fell into a long train
and a small coronet held her
hip -length veil. She carried a
bouquet of red roses and
white gardenias.
Wearing a dusty rose gown
with matching chiffon jacket
was her maid of honor, Erika
During of Waterloo.
Similarly attired were the
bridesmaids, Siglinde Ryan
of Ottawa, Caryn Mann and
Anita Heuchert, both of
Waterloo, and Christine
Hones of Gorrie. The at-
tendants carried bouquets of
burgundy and pink
marigolds.
Carmen Heuchert of
Waterloo, as flower girl, was
also gowned in dusty rose.
She carried a basket of roses
and daisies. Marlon
Heuchert of Waterloo was
bearer of the rings.

A yellow and white theme
enhanced tile altar where the'
' ceremony was performed
and the bride was given in
marriage by her patents,
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibson of
RR 3, Orangeville. Her floor
length gown of silk taffeta
featured an insert of ac-
cordion pleats at the front, a
chapel train, military collar
and long lilypoint sleeves.
She wore a Juliet cap which
secured her silk illusion veil.
Mrs. Denise Puddicombe
of Base Borden was matron
of honor. Her floor -length
gown Of jade green satin was
trimmed with accordion
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce
MacDonald of Wingham
were privileged to have
places of honor and witness
the marriage of their son,
Carey Bruce MacDonald, to
Leona June Gibson on
Saturday, May. 19, at four
o'clock in Shelburne United
pleating and Lady Di sleeves
and she wore a Lady Di hat
with a veil. The brides-
maids, Tracy MacDonald,
Wingham, and Mrs. Twyla
Mae Gibson of Orangeville,
were dressed injade green
dresses identical to the one
worn by the matron of honor.
The flower girl, Lisa
Roberts, RR 3, Orangeville,
wore a pink organdy dress.
with white lace trim and a
white straw hat.
Stephen MacDonald 'of
Lucknow was hisbrother's
best man and brothers of the
bridal couple, Brett Mac-
Donald of Wingham and
David Gibson, RR 3, Orange-
ville, ushered the guests.
The Town and Country
Community . Centre, Shel-
burne, was the scene of an
after -ceremony ' reception
which was attended by
guests from Wingham,
Huntsville, Oakville, Luck-
now,Goderich, Brampton,
Bolton, Palgrave, London,
Toronto and Phoenix, Ari-
zona.
Guelph, Heinz Hones, Kit-
chener, Helmut Hones,
Gorrie, and Wally . Pirker,
Toronto.
Pink and white flowers
decorated the tables at the
Belmore Community Centre
where the reception was
held. Out-of-town guests
came from Listowel,
Bluevale, Kitchener, Ford-
wich, Orillia, Gorrie, Lon-
don, Dryden, Nepean,
Waterloo; Harriston,
Toronto, Mount Forest,
Etobicoke, Thornhill, . Delhi,
Holyrood, Willowdale,
Lucknow, Teeswater,
Ingersoll, Baden, Niagara
Falls and West Germany.
The mother of the bride
wore a long: silver grey gown
with Ymatching jacket. The
grooms mother was in a
long royal blue gown with
matching jacket.
The bride was wearing ar
powder blue blazer and skirt
when they left on a trip to the
east coast.

President Mrs. John
Donaldson opened the
meeting with an appropriate
poem.
Mrs. Wallace Richardson
led a singsong of several
familiar hymns after
reading an article, "The
Picture of Christ in Our
Homes". •She then led in
prayer. Mrs. Paul Mills
played a piano solo and
another musical number, by
Mrs. Don Robertson, Gordon
Wall and Alex Robertson,
was enjoyed by all.
Mrs. Richardson in-
troduced Mrs. Patti
Robertson who discussed
modern trends • in interior
decorating, illustrating her
talk ' with slides. Mrs.
Richardson thanked Mrs.
Robertson and lunch was
served by the hostess during
asocial hour.

Arthur and Donna Egan of Smiths Falls are pleased to
announce the forthcoming marriage of her daughter,
Donna Susan Pringle, to Douglas Paul Doig, son of Ron
and Joan Doig of Molesworth. Susan is the daughter of
the late John Pringle. The wedding will take place on
Saturday, July 14, at 5 p.m. at St. John's Anglican
Church, Smiths Falls.
