A man who walla active"
many town organiizatione

health, Wiliiani Gerry Bain
of 358 Centre Street,
Wingham, passed away
Monday, April 2, at
Wingham and District
Hospital. He was in his 00th
year and death followed a
lengthy illness.
Mr. Bain was the last
surviving member of the
family of the kite William
Bain and Sarah Abbey. He
was predeceased by three
brothers and one sister. He
was born in Greenfield,
Ontario, on July 30, 1904.
During his active years in
Wingham, he was a member
and Past Noble Grand of
Maitland Lodge No. 119,
Independent Order of Odd
Fellows, and served with the
Wingham Volunteer Fire
Department from 1943 until
1963. In recognition of his
service to these groups, the
Maitland Lodge members
held a memorial service at
the funeral home on Tuesday
evening and present

great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was
conducted at two o'clock on
Wednesday, April 4, at The
Currie -Walker Funeral
Home, Wingham, by Rev.
Paul L. Mills of St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church where
deceased was a member.
Interment followed in
Wingham Cemetery.
Pallbearers were six
grandsons, Brian, Kevin,
Randy and Tim Bain, Wayne.
and Bradley Horton. Susan
Dadson and Gregory Horton,
also Bill's grandchildren,
carried floral tributes.
Mother of local woman
dies suddenly at Mitchell.
Mrs. Anna C. Kennedy
passed away suddenly on
March 18 at Mitchell Nursing
Home. Born July 13, 1899,
she was the daughter of the
late Peter H. McGrath and
Annie McQuaid of Hibbert
Township. She was educated
at St. Columban Separate
School and Seaforth
Collegiate Institute after
which she .held a position at
George A. Sills Hardware for
some years prior .to her
marriage on April 3, 1929, to
Angus Kennedy of Tucker -
smith who predeceased her
on April 28, 1971.
Mrs. Kennedy was an
honorary member of St.
Columban Catholic Women's
League, having served both
as an executive member and
president. She is survived by
daughters, Mrs. William
Jr., Patrick Moylan, Peter
Kennedy, Leo Kinahan, Paul
Kennedy and Gordon
Kinahan. Flower bearers
were grandsons John
Moylan and Michael Moylan.
Spring interment will take
place in St. James'
Cemetery, Seaforth.
Fred Coulter was
resident of Gorrie
A longtime resident of the
village of _Gorrie, Fred
Coulter passed away
Thursday, April 5, at
Listowel Memorial Hospital
in his 74th year.
Mr. Coulter, born in
Maryborough Township, was
a son of the late Samuel C.
Coulter and Elizabeth
Mannell. He was prede-
hawasedhis wife, the
former Ida Mae Faulker, in
1964. He was the dear father
of, Gor °of Kitchener,
-Harold, R 3, Listowel,
Clifton, Gorrie, and Mrs.
Melvin (Irene) Bowman,
Listowel. There are 15
grandchildren, 14 great
grandchildren, one great
great grandchild and one
brother, Thomas Coulter of
Listowel. He was predeceas-
ed by one daughters, Gladys.
Mrs. Milian Moore passes,

RR 5, Lucknow, passed away
Monday, April 2, at
Wingham and District
Hospital"She had just passed
her 69th birthday and had
been ill for several months.
Mrs. Moore was the for-
mer Edith Genevieve Watt, a
daughter of the late Rev. W.
J. Watt and the former Edith
Barbour. She was born in
Burgoyne and received her
secondary school education
in Long Branch. Following
her marriage to Millan
Moore at Grimsby in 1941,
she and her husband farmed
in Kinloss Township.
Mrs. Moore was an active
member of the Whitechurch
United Church where she
gave unselfishly of her time
to the United Church Women
and held a life membership
in the organization. She was
also active at the
Presbyterial level of the
UCW. Also much in demand
as a speaker, she gave
poetry recitals and spoke to
many area church and
community groups. She will
be sadly missed by many to
whom she was friend.
Mrs. Moore's husband will
most grievously feel the
separation caused by her
death. She is also survived
by one daughter, Mrs. Garry
(Muriel) Duncan of
Mississauga, and one son,
Elwin Moore of Eganville,
Ontario. There are two
grandchildren, Caley and
Dillon Moore of Eganville.
She was predeceased by one
daughter, Margaret.
Also left to mourn her
passing are one sister, Mrs.
George (Muriel) Thompson
of Wingham; and four
brothers, Archie Watt,
Peterborough, Rev. J.
Robert Watt, Toronto, Rev.
George Watt, Oakville, and
Dr. Donald Watt, Van-
couver. She was predeceas-
ed by one brother, Dr.
Arthur J, Watt.-

way Nursing Home, Hen-
sall, formerly of Wingham,
in his 87th year. He was the
beloved husband of Olive
C. (Culley) Heal of Hensall
dear father of, John of
Hensall; dear brother of
Lorne of Sarnia. He is also
survived by two grand-
daughters, Julie of London
and Mrs. Stephen (Jane)
Jacobson, Los Angeles. He
was predeceased by three
brothers. Mr. and Mrs.
Heal moved to Hensall in
November of 1983. Funeral

23, Rev. Stan McDonald
