Mr. Gaunt passed aw y_
Monday, March 19,, at
Wingham and District
Hospital in his 82nd year.
Born April 2, 1902, in Kinloss
Township, he was a son of
the late Edwin Gaunt and
Ada Garbutt. A farmer all
his adult life, he was a
member of Knox Presbyter-
ian Church, Belgrave.
On November 26, 1932, Mr.
Gaunt married the former
Barbara Weir. She prede-
cesed him in 1976. He is sur,
vived by one daughter, Bar-
bara Routliffe of Duncan,
British Columbia; two sons,
James of Stouffville and
John, RR 1, Belgrave; three
grandchildren and two sis-
ters, Mrs. George (lily) Mc-
Clenaghan of Goderich and
Mrs. Alex (Edith) Sealy,
Vancouver. He was prede-
ceased by three brothers and
one sister.

passing of Mrs. Jean Marie
Minick of 22 Somerfield
Place, Kitchener, on Mon-
day, March 19, at St. Mary's
Hospital, Kitchener. She was
in her 40th year and death
followed a brief illness{
The former 'Jean . Hanna
was a daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Clarence Hanna of
Belgrave and was born in
Listowel on September 18,
1944. She attended the
Wingham District High
School and trained as a
registered nursing assistant
at the Wingham and District
Hospital RNA Training
Centre. She was a member of
St. James' Lutheran Church,
Mannheim, Ontario.
Besides her parents, Jean
is survived by her husband
whom she married in
Belgrave on May 7, 1966;
three children, Edwin, 14,
Catherine, 13, and Jennifer,
9, all at home. There are two
brothers, David Hanna of
North Battleford, Saskat-
chewan, and Larry
Mayberry of Londesboro;
and two sisters, Mrs.
Lorraine Cook of Belgrave
and Mrs. Gail Storer, Kit-
chener.
Friends paid their respects
at the Schreiter-Sandrock
Funeral Home, Kitchener,
until Thursday, March 22,
when removal was made to
St. James' Lutheran Church,
Mannheim, for service at
two o'clock, conducted by
Rev. A. J. Baetz and Rev.
Andre R. Lavergne. Inter-
ment will take place in St.
James' Cemetery.

Mrs, Alex Skinn passes
wing a brief illness
r a courageous battle
with illness that lasted only a
few weeks, Mrs. Alex Skinn
was granted release from
her suffering on Saturday,
March 24, when Mlle passed
away at Cambridge
Memorial Hospital. Mrs.
Skinn, whose home was 356
Leopold Street, Wingham,
was in her 67th year.
Born in Turnberry
Township on June 20, 1917,
Mrs. Skinn was formerly
Jean Roberta Wheeler, a
daughter of the late George
Wheeler and Agnes Forest.
She was a member of Sacred
Heart Roman Catholic
Church and the Catholic
Women's League.
On May 24, 1941, she
married Mr. Skinn in Sacred
Heart - Church. She was
bereaved by his passing in
1977. She was also
predeceased by one son,
Joseph, and one sister.
Left to mourn her passing
are three daughters, Mrs.
Alan (Mary Ann) Weishar of
Mrs. R. Grain

A former resident of
Wingham, Mrs. Roland
Grain, . passed away
Tuesday, March 20, at the
Dearness 1 -Tome, London, at
the age of 91.
The former Mary
Elizabeth Glazier, Mrs.
Grain was horn February 3,
1893, in Georgetown. She
married William Edgar in
1915 and following his death,
she married Mr. Grain in
Guelph in 1938. He
predeceased her in 1965.
Barrie, Barbara Skinn of , Mrs. Grain is survived by
Kitchener and Mrs. Larry one daughter, Mrs. George
(Cathy) Machan, Waterloo;
eight sons, Douglas of
Wingham, Glenn, Hanover,
Kenneth, Wingham, Bill,
Welland, Brian, Bruce,
Gerald and -Paul, all of
Wingham. There are 17
grandchildren and two
sisters, Mrs. Irene Johnston
of Wingham and Mrs. Jack
(Gertrude) Wylie, Wroxeter.

her spiritual adviser, Rev. J.

Alcock, passed away
Thursday, March 22, at the
Queensway Nursing Home,
Hensall, in her 87th year.
Miss Alcock was the
daughter of the late Thomas
and Margaret Alcock and
was predeceased by three
brothers, Clifford, Frederick
and John, and one sister,
Fanny Gordon. She is sur-
vived by several nieces and
nephews.
The late Cora May Alcock
rested at the Brussels Chapel
of M. L. Watts Funeral
Homes Friday evening.
Removal was Made
Saturday to St. John's
Anglican Church for service
at 11 a.m., conducted by
Rev. Robin Lyons. In-
terment followed in Brussels
Cemetery.

identifying skills, preparing
resumes, being interviewed
for a position and keeping up
morale during the search for
a job. It will be conducted by
Bonnie Reburg, a former
teacher who is now family
counsellor at Huron Centre
for Children and Youth and
study skills and career
counsellor at University of
Western Ontario.
"Creating Your Own Job"
will be the aim of the at':

at one o'clock. It is designed
to help the woman assess her
own employment needs, with
special approaches for
women living in rural areas.
It will also deal with forming
supportive groups for
unemployed women. In

Rural Learning Association.
