Above and -near - freezing temperatures 'start- ed the day's racing with a fast track, ending it with one of the most challenging a racer could encounter. The first half of the Yamaha Huron Cup, which was run the previous Sunday produced the overall, points winner of the series. Clyde Sleightholni of Listowel, with 80 points inthe series won a spot on the Huron Cup. The following Sunday's racing produced lots of excitement, particularly in the three- wheeler classes, which drew entries from all over Ont- ario. Course fee $87.00 This program is a must for the homeowndr. student will be introdd'Ced to the basic landscape &Sign and planning, garden soils, maintenance of the lawn areas, 'pruning techni- ques, trees and shrubs, fertilizers,' annuals and perennials. Course fee $94.00 each semester. Fee is for all tools of the trade. Materials extra, Semesters II and 111 follow with 2 week intervals between. Semester I introduces the student to be aware of the various commercial and business aspects of the flower trade. Topics such as ordering. cash register experience, care of cut flowers on. arrival, the using of wire services including U.F C and F.T.D., credit card ordering. The program is designed for the student to know and understand, indoor plants, identification, watering, fertilizing, propagation methods, diseases and control.
