Rockers split weekend action By Fraser Strong The Wingham Oldtimers Rockers club saw action last Saturday and,. Sunday and split those games, winning 3- 2 over Palmerston, but landing on the bottom end, of a 3-2 count to Hanover. In a game played in the Wingham arena last Saturday, Hanover came out flying with , an effort to avenge a previous loss to the Rockers. Onrthe other hand, Wingham seemed listless and heavy-footed with only occasional flashes of offence in the game. Hanover's Arthur opened the scoring one minute and 45 seconds into the first period when he was set up in the slot by Graham. Three minutes later, Rob Laurie of the Rockers picked up the puck near centre ice, maneuvered around •twm. players, slid the puck through the legs of a third, then slid a pass out to Wayne Brown who deposited the disc behind the Hanover goalie.
