The first draw for 'all teams ended in December with the following teams coming out on top: In the Ladies' division, Mary Williams skipped her team to first place. Playing • vice was Lynn Magee, with second Winona Hamill and lead Pat Tweddle. The second -place team included Marilyn Wood, Jane Treleaven, Debra Bannister and Marg Gavreluk. Ted Elliott's team of Byron Adams, Jeff Balch and Gord Sutcliffe placed. first in their Monday night draw. Second place went to the team of John Bateson, Stewart Beattie, Norman Rude and Doug Bishop. Optimist Tykes defeat Wallace The Wingham Optimist Tykes traveled to.Kurtzville last Saturday -to play the Wallace Blues: The final outcome' of the game was Wingham, 6, and Wallace, 3. Matthew Hunter opened the scoring for Wingham, two and one-half minutes into the first period. Marc Poulin earned the assist when he set up the play by forwarding the puck to Hunter. } • Jonathan Lane scored on a breakaway by deking out the Wallace goalie. Hunter closed out the period with a goal scored after he out- distanced all Wallace players and slammed the puck home. -Brett Sangster'S tenacious play paid off in a goal when. he poked the puck past the goalie and across the line. Wallace then came to life with a goal by Todd Norman and a second goal by Robert o Jackson. Wallace threatened Wing - ham's lead even more when Ken Youngblut scored at the 12:53 mark of the third period.
