was in his 80th Year. -
Jim Breckenridge was
born in Turnberry Township
on September 10, 1904, a son
of the late Joseph B.
Breckenridge and his wife,
the- former Rebecca Pea -
c k.. He 'went to school
in Bluevale and farmed
during 'his early, adult life.
He later was a construction
worker. He was a member of
$luevale United Church.
On June 18, 1932,^ he ,
married the former Louie
Chandler in Brantford. She
survives to mourn his
passing, as do two children,
Mrs. Lloyd (Helen) Warwick
of RR 2, Bluevale, and
Donald ' Breckenridge of
-Woodstock. He had six
grandchildren and four great
grandchildren. He was
predeceased by one brother
and five sisters. • '

Tuesday when service was,
conducted at two o'clock by
Robert C. Perry of Bluevale
United Church and .Rev. J.
Rea Grant of Wingham

Thoirias MacDonald, passed
away Saturday, Jan. 7, at the
Fordwich Village Nursing
Home. She was in her 81st
year.
The former . Jennie
Eleanore Agnes , (Jean)
Earls, Mrs. MacDonald was
predeceased by her husband
in 1950. She was also
predeceased by two sisters
and one brother. Left to
mourn her passing are three
sisters, Mrs. Archie (Isobel)
Miller, Wroxeter, Mrs. Ken
(Lillian) Hastie of Fordwich
Village Nursing Home and
Mrs. Wilf (Mary) King of
Geri -Care Nursing Home,
Harriston.

In 1937, he a up shop to sell
Allis .Chalmers equipment
and General Motors cars and
trucks. Many people in that
area remember the first load
of tractors coming to that
town in 1937, consisting of
three steel -wheeled ..tractors
and the first rubber -tired
tractor delivered in the area.
When news of Mr.
Gleeson's passing reached
the St. Marys -London area,
former Minister of Agri-
culture William Stewart
paid tribute to the man who
brought mechanization to
Middlesex. and Perth
Counties with the in-
troduction of combines and
harvesters. He added that

Mrs. Ira Schaefer of
Listowel, formerly of Ford=
wich, passed away Tuesday,
January 3, in Listowel
Memorial -Hospital. She was
in her 83rd year.
Left to mourn her passing
are her husband, Ira Hart-
well Schaefer; one- son,
Donald, and his wife Bette of
London; two daughters, Mrs.
George(Thelma)- Trethewey
of . Stratford and Mrs. Bob
(Jean) -Petznick of Ford=
wich; 11 grandchildren and
ten• great grandchildren. The
former Hazel.Margaret
Sothern, she is aso survived
by two brothers, Bruce and
Bill Sothern, Loth of Ford-
wich;. and three sisters, Mrs.

Brookhaven Nursing Home
since 1981 and enjoyed good
health until a week before his

Mr. Gleeson is survived by
his wife Emmalena, also a
• resident at Brookhaven; four
daughters; seven grand-
children and nine great
grandchildren. At his funeral
many neighbors and former
associates gathered to pay
their respects.

Hartman, Gowanstown. She
was predeceased by two
sisters and one brother in
infancy. '
There was no funeral home
visitation. Cremation took
place and a memorial serv-
ice was held at Fordwich
United Church on Saturday,
". January 7, at two o'clock.
Spring interment will take
place in Fordwich Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy
may be `directed to the
Canad1,,an Cancer Society.
The Gorrie Chapel of M. L.
Watts Funeral Homes was in
charge of arrangements.
