Unexploded bomb hold Christmas meeting ary Society of Knox Presbyterian Church held its Christmas meeting at the home of Mrs_ Carroll John- son at Listowel. Mrs. David Neilson opened the meeting with a poem entitled "Prince of Peace" and the Aim and Purpose were repeated m unison. The Christmas worship service from Glad Tidings was used with the theme being 'The Gift That Was Meant for Everybody World - Wide". It included carols from dif- ferent lands and the Christmas sto- ry as recorded in the gospels of Luke and Matthew. Reflections on these passages in- cluded questions which applied the lessons from the readings to the present day. MrsoNeilson was as- sisted by Mrs Johnson and Mrs. Glenn nderwood. The roll call was answered with a favorite Christmas recipe. Mrs. Johnson read a Christmas card from Rev. and Mrs. James McClure. Donations were made to the women's shelter in Orillia, where Elizabeth Westcort is the di- rector and the Canadian Bible Soci- ety.
