ALCORN--James Alcorn of Gor-
rie passed away on Friday, Dec: 5,
1995, at the Ross Memorial Hospi-
tal, Lindsay, in his 86th year.
He was the beloved husband of
Muriel (Durnford) Alcorn and the
loving father of: Frederick James
(Rick) Alcorn of Orangeville;
Douglas John Alcorn •of London;
Heather Elizabeth Ferguson of Ac-
ton and Geoffrey Victor Alcorn of
Pefferlaw. Mr. Alcorn was the
loved grandfather of nine grand-
children.
• The late Jim Alcorn rested at the
Betts Visitation Centre, Gorrie,
from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec.
17. The funeral service was con -
'ducted by Rev. Jeff Hawkins on
Monday afternopn, Dec. 18, at 2
p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion,
Branch 307, conducted a memorial
service at 9 o'clock Sunday eve-
ning: Prayers will tle said at the Uta -
ion Cemetery, Oshawa, on Tues-
day, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m.,
In remembrance of Jim, dona-
tions'to the Ontario. & Heart Stroke
Foundation or Boy Scouts of Cana-

CARR --Eva Mildred Carr of
Wingham passed awayat Universi-
ty Hospital, London, on Tuesday,
Dec. 12, 1995, in her 86th year.
The former Eva Bannerman, she'
was the beloved wife of the late
James A. Carr, who predeceased
her in 1983.
Left to mourn their mother's
passing are: Douglas and Brian
Carr of Wingham and David and
Merie Carr of Peterborough. Mrs.
Carr was the grandmother' of Bob
and Leslie and Brent and Erin. Also
surviving is one sister, Mary Camp-
bell of Kincardine and a sister-in-
law, Edna A. Carr of Wingham.
Eva Carr was predeceased by her
son Donald; her sisters, Hazel Stan-
ley, Irene Slesser and Ethel Why -
tock and brothers Harold and Elmer
Bannerman.
Visitation was held at the
McBurney Funeral Home in Wing -
ham on Thursday, Dec. 14. from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral ser-
vice was held in the funeral home
on Friday, Dec. 15, at 1:30 p.m.
with Rev. John P. Vaudry officiat-
ing. Spring interment in Wingham
Cemetery.
Huron Chapter No. 89, Order of
the Eastern Star, held a memorial
service at the funeral home last
Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial donations to St. An-
drew's Presbyterian Church, Wing -
ham, would be appreciated as ex-
pressions of sympathy.
DINSMORE--Carl Dinsmore of
Gorrie passed away on Wednesday,
Dec. 13. 1995, at Victoria Hospital
in London. He was in his 75th year..
The beloved husband of Irene
Dinsmore, he was the dear father of
Gail and John Lennon of Walker-
ton; Carl and Don Taylor of Gorrie
and Peter and Linda Dinsmore of
Gorric. Mr. Dinsmore was the
Loved grandfather of five grandchil-
dren: Jeremy and Erin Taylor, Shel-
don, Kristen and Adam Dinsmore.
Also surviving is his sister, Edith
Lockridge of Wingham. Mr. Din-
smore was predeceased by his sis-
ter, Nellie King.
The late Carl Dinsmore rested at
the Betts Visitation Centre, Gorrie,
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sat-
urday, Dec. 16. The funeral service
was conducted Sunday, Dec. 17, at
2 15.m. from the funeral home with
Rev. Brad Beale officiating. Spring
interment in Wroxeter Cemetery.
In remembrance of Carl Din-
smore, donations to St. Stephen's
Anglican Church would be appre-
ciated by the family.
• DOUGLAS --Peacefully at kis resi-
dence with his family by his -side
on Friday, Dec. 15, 1995, Crawford
Douglas of Nepean, and formerly
of Wingham, passed away in his
65th year.
He was the loving husband and
best friend of the former Lorna Nel-
son and the loved father of David
and his wife Pauline of Richmond
Hill and Lori Douglas of North
York. Mr. Douglas was the very
special grandfather of Mark and
Eric.
e was the dear son-in-law of
Ida Nelson of Allenford and the be-
loved. brother-in-law of Myrtle
Nelson •of Allenford; Willard and
his wife Jean Nelson of Mississau-
ga; Ken and his wife Winnie Nel-
son of of Alliston; Don and his
wife Maureen Nelson of Hanover;
Jphn and his wife Marion Eby of
Port Elgin and Ross and his wife
Mary Nelson of Bolton.
Also surviving are many nieces
and nephews. Crawford Douglas
was predeceased by his daughter
Heather; a brother-in-law, Alex
Nelson and his parents, William
and Nellie Douglas.
Friends will remember Crawford
from his days as sportscaster at
CKNX-Television in Wingham
from 1970 to 1974. He was Mem-
ber of Parliament for Bruce -Grey
from 1974 to 1979 and most recent-
ly was pension commissioner for
.Veterans' Affairs at Ottawa.
Crawford Douglas thought about
his friends a lot in his last few days
and weeks and thanks them for
everything that they meant to him.
His family all loved him and will
miss him very much.
Friends called at the Downs &
Son Funeral Home, Hepworth, on
Monday. Dec. 18, from 7 to 9 p.m.
and Tuesday, Dec. 19, from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service
will be conducted today, Wednes-
day, at 2 p.m. from the funeral
home. Spring interment in Chesley
Cemetery..

FORSTER--Ronald Elliott Forster'
of RR 1, Lucknow, passed away on
Thursday. Dec. 14, 1995, at Wing -
ham and District Hospital at the age
of 81.
Born Sept. 17, 1914, he was the
son of the late James Forster and
his wife, the former Elizabeth
McDougal. He operated Forster
Ceptic Tanks at Lucknow for many
years.
Mr. Forster was a member of the
Lucknow Presbyterian Church; past
master of the Old Light Lodge No.,.
184; a member of the St. Elmo Per-
ceptory No. 22; a member of the
Mocha Shrine and past president of
the Bluewater Shrine.
Left to mourn her husband's
passing his wife, the former Kath-
leen Carruthers of RR 1, Lucknow.
He will be sadly missed by five
children: Nancy and Gerald Murray
of Kinloss Township; Ross and
Helen Forster of RR 4, Kincardine;
Donna and Garry Sutton of Luck -
now; Thomas and Nancy Forster of
London and Faye and Fernando
Demelo of Mississauga. There are
six grandsons, five granddaughters
and one great-granddaughter.
Mr. Forster is survived by his
sister and her husband, Jean and
Alex Robertson of Wingham and
one sister-in-law, Evelyn Forster
of Winnipeg.
In addition to his parents, Mr.
'Forster was predeceased by five
brothers, Jack, Bill, Joe, Cecil and
Walter.
Visitation for the late Ronald
Forster was held at the MacKenzie
& McCreath Funeral Home in.
Lucknow on Saturday, Dec. 16,
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Old
Light Masonic Lodge No. 184 held
a memorial service Saturday eve-
ning at 9 o'clock in the funeral
- home.
The funeral service was conduct-
ed on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. by
Rev. P. Kinsman of the Lucknow
Presbyterian Church and Rev. D.
MacDonald. Irma Henderson and
Lorne Forster sang "Nearer to the
Heart of God" with Donalda Mof-
fatt at the organ.

Honorary pallbearers were Fred
Patterson, Ed Fink, Jim Elliott, Dr.

provided by Steve Trapp and Dave
Hynes.
Active pallbearers included Mr.
Forster's two sons, Ross and Thom;
as Forster. and five grandsons,
Steve, Bradley and Justin Murray
and Russell and Joel Sutton.
Spring interment in South Kin-
loss Cemetery.
HOGG--Marie Hogg of RR 1,
Wingham, passed away at Univer-
sity Hospital in London on Tues-
day, Dec. 12, 1995, in her 54th
year.
The former Marie Schneller, she
was the beloved wife of Elgin
Hogg and the dear mother of: San-
dra and John Dorsch of RR 5, Brus-
sels; Douglas and Katy Hogg of RR
2, Wingham and Shirley and Tom
Kreller of St. Jacobs.
Mrs. Hogg also ., is survived by
her mother, Louisa Schneller of RR
2, Wingham. There are two sisters,
Margaret Earl of Ingersoll and Bet-
ty Restivo of Kitchener, as well as
one brother, Jim Schneller of Lis-
towel, surviving. ; She also was
grandmother to seven grandchil-
dren.
Marie Hogg was predeceased by
her father, Roy Schneller:
Visitation was held at the

ham on Friday, Dec. 15, from 3 to
5 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral ser-
vice was held in the funeral home
on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1:30 p.m.
with Rev. J. Rea Grant and Rev.
Alan Barr officiating. Spring inter-
ment in Wingham Cemetery.
