Lucknow Lancers split their
two WOAA Senior `B' Hockey
League games played on the
weekend.
The Lancers travelled to Li-
ons Head on Friday and coasted
to a decision over the
Northstlarsl Playing at home on
Sunday, the Lancers were hand-
ed a 5-2 setback by the Dundalk
Flyers.
Brad Murray paced the Lanc-
ers offence against Lions Head
as he collected five goals and
three assists. Brad Priestap had
three goals and four assists with
Darrin Lindsay getting two
goals and one assist. Russell
Sutton had a goal and three as-
sists, Dale Priestap had a goal
and two assists and. Stan Kikkert
netted a single marker. Steve
Murray collected five assists,
and Steve Simpson and Chris
Michie had three assists each.
The Lancers held a 1-0 lead
after the first period and were
ahead 9-0 after two periods.

Hockey Mustangs

The Madill hockey Mustangs
travelled. to Walkerton °on Fri-
day and were handed a 4-2 set-
back in exhibition high school
hockey play.
Josh Johnston netted both
goals for the Mustangs. One
goal was unassisted and Jeff
Porter assisted on the second
marker.
The Mustangs play their first
Huron -Perth Hockey League
contest today when they travel
to St. Marys. St. Mary's scored
a 9-0 decision over Goderich
Vikings last Wednesday. The
Mustangs compete in a tourna-
ment in Palmerston on Friday
and Saturday.

Twenty-three members of the
Madill wrestling team travelled to
Hagersville on Friday to take part
in a competition.
Sixteen of the wrestlers came
back with individual medals.
The boys team took first place
honors, out of 19 schools. The
girls team placed third, out of 13
schools competing
Six Madill athletes — five boys
and a girl — won their weight di-
visions.
Winning medals for the boys
„team were Chris Alexander, Mike
King, Jake Edgar, Steve Camp-
bell, Kyle Underwood, Bob
Wheeler, David Morley, and By-
ron English.

Kelly Alexander, a silver, and
Kristy Ireland, a bgonze.
The team travels to Guelph on
Thursday for another competition.
The wrestling team will be put-
ting on a clinic and a demonstra-
tion on Dec. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. to
raise funds for the team. Members
of both the girls and boys teams
will be involved in the demonstra-
tion.

Wingham swimmers picked up
nine medals at tete Nothers
Awards Invitational swim meet
held at the London Aquatic Centre
on the weekend.
A total of 545 swimmers from
16 teams from across the province
took part in the three-day meet.
Kevin ,chill collected six
medals for the Huron Hurricanes,
and Lesley Burton collected three
medals.
Swimming in the boys I3 -14 -
year -old division, Schill was first
in the 100 -metre breaststrolce in
,,:18.66 minutes, first in the 50 -
metre freestyle in 27.41 seconds,
first in the 50 -metre breaststroke
in 36.33 seconds, second in the
100-rnetre freestyle in 1:02.34
minutes, second in .the 200 -metre
breaststroke in 2:47.94 minutes,
and third in the 400 -metre individ-
ual medley in 5:27.22 minutes.'
Lesley Burton, swimming in the
girls 11 -I2 -year-old division,
earned a silver medal in the 400 -
metre •individual medley in
6:05.46 minutes, a bronze in the
50 -metre freestyle in 31.84 sec-
onds, and a bronze in the 200 -
metre butterfly in 3:00.12 minutes.
