Ironman split weekend games After falling 7-4 to Walkerton Blackhawks on Friday • evening, the Wingham Ironmen posted a 6- 4 decision over the Wiarton Wolves on Saturday. Playing in Wiarton on Saturday, the Ironmen took a 3-1' in the first period and were in front by a 5-2 margin after 40 minutes of play. Justin Murray paced the Wing - ham victory with three goals and an assist. Chris Buchanan, Brett Sangster, and Brent Williams add- ed single markers for the Ironmen.. Kyle Wheeler picked up three as- sists with Brent Robinson earning a pair of helpers. Single assists were received by Jason Becker and Scott MacDonald. Scoring for the Wolves were Greg Hellyer, Kris Seaman, Stuart Thain, and Jeritt Raney. Steve Schwartzentruber posted the win in the Wingham goal. Pee Wee Bs have successful week by winning three games The Wingham Wescast Pee Wee Bs were off and flying last week, as they won all three games they played. The first game was played in Lucknow, with Wingham coming away with a strong 5-2 decision. Justin Campbell got things go- ing at 8:27 with hep from Jim McCracken and Jamie Koch. Peter Dixon followed up from Aaron Himmelman and Tom Mullin. Brett Coulthard completed the scoring in the first from Justin Black and Garret Skinn. Lucknow got their only two goals of the game in the first, and Wingham held a 3-2 lead. Black thin scored in the second from Skinn, before Craig Marks put the game away in the third from McCracken and Campbell. The Pee Wee Bs travelled to Belmore on Friday and scored an 11-1 decision over a weak Tees - water club. McCracken got things going in the first, scoring two from Camp - hell and Adam McQuiggan. Marks then scored his first of three, with Campbell getting the lone assist. Then not wanting to left out, Campbell scored to end the second period 5-. In the third period, the flood gates opened with McQuiggan scoring twice, and Campbell add- ing his second of the game. Him- melman finished the night off from Kyle Anderson at 3:09 of the third. Teeswater spoiled an easy shut out with lone goal in the final peri- od. Playing at home on Sunday, the Pee Wee Bs played a bigger and stronger Walkerton team, and won a hard-hitting game 4-3. Anderson scored two in the first period, assisted both times from Himmelman and Dixon. Walkerton beat Kate Lane to close the gap, but Robinson main- tained the two -goal advantage from Marks and Anderson. Walkerton again narrowed the margin to one with an early third period goal past James :‘' -'-dham. Wingham never trailed as Coul- thard banged it in from Skinn and Campbell to pull ahead by two. Wingham sagged a bit in the third and Walkerton came on strong to pull within one and make the last few minutes tense. minute major and misconduct handed out. Selkirk, Brad Hayter, and Dale Wismer scored two goals apiece for Walkerton with single markers tallied by Cody Schenk. Schwartentruber and Dave Bart - man combined for 31 saves in the Wingham net.
