DATED at Wingham, Ontario, this 3 I st day of October, 1995. Mr. John T. Goodall Solicitor for the Estate of CARL EDWARD JOHNSTON Pee Wee B Ripley, fall WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5,189 s overpower to Brusseis The Wingham Pee Wee Bs trav- elled to Ripley Saturday evening and overpowered the host team 9- 0 in a lopsided victory. While losing 4-1 to Brussels Sunday evening, the Wingham team, however, played their best game of the year. Wingham jumped into a quick 1-0 lead in Ripley with Aaron Himmelman banging it in at 3:36 of the first period, quickly fol- lowed by Geoff Lindsay less then three minutes later. The teams played evenly until the latter part of the second period when Himmelman netted his sec- ond at 9:37. Then the floodgates opened with Justin Campbell scor- ing the first of two, with singles going to Tim Robinson, Tom Mul- lin, Jim McCracken and Peter Dix- on. Kate Lane and James Needham shared the shut out, although"nei- ther saw much rubber during the contest. The going was a little tougher Sunday evening, and although Wingham came out on the short side of the final score, they easily played their best game of the sea- son. Brussels came out flying, and took an early 1-0 lead at 4:30 of the first. Thirty seconds later, Brussels scored again and seemed well on the way to victory when they made the mistake 'of getting a little physical with the Wingham players. That just seemed to wake up the' Wingham team and made the game close at 11:10 when Craig marks scored from the blueline on a nice pass from Himmelman and Dixon. That goal fired up the Wingham players, and they got back into the game going into the third. Wingharn came out flying in the third, but couldn't slow down Joel K Ilington of Brussels who made it -1 earl in the third. Wingham pia ed it lose until a clearing pass from t e corner went off a Wing - ham stick and ended up in the Wingham goal. Wingham learned a lot in this game. To keep up with the better teams, the Wingham defence will have to hustle up to the blue line quicker and help hold the play in the offensive zone. Wingham also learned that when challenged, they can rise to the occasion. It was, good to head the bench cheer when the Wingham players deliv- ered a good hit, and with enthu- siasm like that, they will get their share of wins. ulls split weekend games Brussels Bulls split a pair of weekend games in the Western ?unior 'C" Hockey League.
