Last week was filled with activi-
ty as the Wingam and Area Sen-
iors' Day Centre ended the month
of June. lummer has shown in itself
in temperatures and summer fun!
Marg Beard and family shared
their company with the group on
Monday. Outdoor games of croquet
and baci ball were enjoyed at
Cruickshank Park. It couldn't be
summer without a refreshing drink
of lemonade, which everyone
helped to prepare.
Last Tuesday, June 27, Anita
Guernick of the Craft Shoppe on
main street in Wingham, came to
share her "crafty" talents. A heart -
shaped potpouri sachet was demon-
strated arid she was a patient in-
structor so all us of us could have a
lovely gift. She made the craft easy
to prepare.
Last Wednesday was our foot
clinic. Due to holidays, the next
clinic will be held Aug. 3. If any-
one would like to make an appoint-
ment, please call the centre at 357-
1440.
We spent the afternoon playing
games and completing craft pro-
jects. Our bus trip to Grand Bend
was a great end to the month of
June. The group of seniors visited
the Pinery Park and had an insight-
ful guide comment on the forma-
tion of the park and how some
unique species of plant life are
prevalent in Grand Bend. Also,
some interesting displays of wild-
life and park conservation were ob-
serve i at the visiting area before
we departed,
The Lambton Heritage Museum
was our picnic destination. thanks
to our food services manager, Jan-
ice Van Osch and the kitchen vol-

making our picnic so enjoyable.
