Dawn Poels 335-6331 Seniors Day By Barbara Snowden The cold spring weather didn't keep the seniors home last week. Last Tuesday, everyone was kept busy working on various craft pro- jects. Time is set aside each month to complete articles for the annual fall bazaar. If you have a project idea, why not drop by the centre to share it with us.' Last Wednesday, we -enjoyed the musical talents of the Gord Harri- son Singers. Last week we also particiated in seniors' day at the Belmore Maple Syrup Festival. We enjoyed pan- cakes, sausage and maple syrup, as well as viewing the craft displays, baking and taking in the excellent entertainment. Friday's group welcomed special guest Joyce Morgan of Wingham. She shared her special talent for watercolor painting with us. The staff is gearing up for volun- teer appreciation night. This is a chance to express our thanks to the many volunteers who offer their time and talent to the centre. Vol-. unteers play an important role in our program by driving, participants to the centre, helping in the kitchen with meal preparation and assist with programs and special events. The day centre also is governed by a volunteer board of directors. A delicious supper, special awards. skits and entertainment are planned. In closing, I share this quotation., "The person who knows every- thing, has a lot to team."
